I stole this from the general nursing student board. I know we are all in pre-reqs right now, but the cattiness has already begun as I have noticed in one of my classes (A&P). So if you have a few Bitter Betties in your classes because you are doing well and they are not, or you have more free time than they do or whatever, come and say it here. I'll start:
1. Stop coming in to class the day of the test and looking to me to be your personal brain box. You know this class is hard as heck and you need top grades, so why on Earth would you be lazy and dumb enough to wait until the last minute asking me what diagrams we need to know....why don't YOU know this already? You say you work full-time...and? So do a lot of others that are busting their butts to do what they have to do. Stop making me feel like my achievements are any less because I have a bit more free time. Without studying properly, I'd being doing as badly as you!
2. I don't care if you graduated in the 80's. Stop acting like my grades in a bio class in which there is material I have NEVER seen before is reflective of the fact that I graduated in 2006. And yes, I HEARD you talking behind my back, which was really right in front of my face, because I was two feet away, but I guess your butt didn't notice! And yes, last Wednesday I walked away while you were suggesting a study group. *-YOU. I'm gonna let you fail on your own.

BUT... I do understand the anger and frustration in such a high stress state as nursing school. It stinks, but it'll be done soon. Adding drama, gossip, and general high school stuff doesn't help with the stress!

These are hilarious to read. There's always at least one in your class that's irritating. I have one in my Microbio class, who sits across from me. However, since the majority of our lab work is done by a partner, mine is the one sitting next to me. So as long as I don't work with her, I'm good. Honestly though, I say to myself, I hope I don't work with her when we become nurses and end up working at the same hospital.
For all of us future nurses, that may be the possibility. People who ticked us off in class may be a nurse we work with in the future. How awkward that would be.

to all my failing classmates that ragged on me for "just" wanting to be a nurse, who are all 'premed' and want me to host tutoring sessions because I get it, the tests are off the slides how can you possiably not get it? We get extra credit, bonus questions, study guides and everything is off the lecture slides.
to the classmates that ask for help in lab who always respond I knew that after I help them, its ok to not know something, thats why we are in school, to learn. stop being *!@#$** and say thankyou, we both know that you didnt know what was going on before I helped you and things are only to get harder and my compassion is limited.

Not too worried about working with any of these girls in the future, they are barely passing the bio prereq for AP 1.

OMG! You all are so funny! But, to keep it real, it does not stop once you are in the program. We are in small groups in lab and this one lady has the biggest heart, but she never stops talking, asking questions, or making comments. She is so sweet, she is just trying to help all of us really. But this other girl, when I started talking-whispering really, to another classmate, she actually made a noise and plugged her ears! I said to her "What? Is my whispering bothering you when___ never shuts up?" She sits right beside her. I did tell the nice lady I did not mean anything by my comment. I just am not going to take that kind of baloney. I just think I would just burst if I kept that in all semester. That was SO rude, it had to be addressed on the spot. | | No. 8 |
