Hi all! Just thought I'd go ahead and start this. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas (or whatever you celebrate!) I'm very much enjoying my family time right now.

Spring semester starts January 5th for me, and I'll be taking A&P 2 and College Algebra. Hope to see lots of you posting here like last semester :)

Finally checked out website and CD that comes with textbook. Way Cool!:rotfl: They didn't have this the last time I took science courses. They have practice quizes and all this other extra information. Even tells you what to study based on your learning style. Now trying to figure out how to use the flashcards that are on the website. Oh yeah. I'm using the Tortora textbook.

And if anyone needs to review Chemistry, like I do, here's a link to a website with quick tutorial.

Wow, I feel like I'm lagging behind!!! We haven't started yet. I take it M & W's starting next week. My nutrition starts this Thursday though.

IT's nice to see some activity in this thread :) Has everyone started classes now? I know some are starting this week...hopefully that will get things going in here. We have off tomorrow for MLK day. The kids and I are going bowling! It'll be nice. I'm enjoying the semester so far and I'm not stressed at all...yet!! LOL We dissected the cow's eye Thursday - not too bad. This coming Thursday we're doing a sheep's brain and continuing on the cat we started last semester. It looks like we either have a quiz or a dissection or BOTH every week of lab this semester! YIKES! I am looking forward to it though. :)

I WILL BE STARTING MY A&P :chuckle :o :balloons: CLASS ON WEDN, CAN'T WAIT. READ AND MEMORIZED FIRST CHAPTER ALREADY. LOTS OF MEMORIZATION BUT EVERYBODY CAN DO IT. GOOD LUCK

We started on January 5th, so quite a bit earlier than most of you :) But our fall semester ended Dec 12.

Wow, this has been a loooong break for me! My last A&P class was on Dec 6th and I don't start A&P 2 until next Monday. LOL...hope my brain is still functional! It's gonna be tough getting back into the swing of things with school. I'm pretty excited to get this spring semester rolling! I've been told that my A&P 2 teacher is terrific...what a nice change from last semester that will be. Watch, with my luck...the nice teacher decided to retire over Christmas break and I'll be stuck with the ole broom rider!! Good luck guys!! I'll be posting again soon:)

Dec 6th...hmmm

My A&P 1 class was 4 YEARS AGO!!! Am I scared, shaking in my shoes??? Yep. Say a prayer for me!!!! I will have to drown myself in A&P this semester.

I start my lecture tomorrow (tuesday) and my lab on thursday. I have the same teacher for both and have heard good things about her...so i hope they are true:rolleyes:

I have been enjoying the break and I hope it won't be too tough to get back into the swing of things.

We are already into the endocrine system in lecture and lab....good times.

I noticed that we have way less material to cover in A&P 2. We covered 18 chapters in A&P 1 and we only have 10 chapters in A&P 2! We left off last semester with the endocrine system. Anyone else notice this?? It seems odd to me.

Mandarella, Don't panic! You're going to do great:) Once you get started, it will come back to you. Also, if you ever need help, there are plenty of great people on this site that will be here for you....myself included! As you can see, we are all in this together.

I noticed the same thing. Last semester we covered 17 chapters and this semester we are only covering 11 chapters. We just picked up with the endocrine system on Saturday. I am taking a Saturday class and I have lecture and lab on the same day. 5 long hours each Saturday morning :)
