Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi all! Just thought I'd go ahead and start this. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas (or whatever you celebrate!) I'm very much enjoying my family time right now.

Spring semester starts January 5th for me, and I'll be taking A&P 2 and College Algebra. Hope to see lots of you posting here like last semester :)

I am happy to join you all. I am going to be taking A&P II in the spring. I start 1/10 and I can't wait to get it over with. I love my teacher. I had her last semester and she makes everything easy to understand. Her note packets are awesome. I dread the lab tests.

I start A&P II and Statistics Jan 10th.

Good Luck!!!!

I start A/P2 on January 10th and am ready to get it over with so I can finally take micro.

It's not too bad if you stay on top of things (as is the case w/ every class). What I have found to be helpful is to do the homework assignments for every class lecture- this will really prepare you for the tests. What book are you using? Oh yeah- and you likely will need a ti-83.

Hey all:) I start A&P 2 on the 24th of January. I'm also taking biochemistry lecture and lab. I'm debating whether or not to take microbiology during the summer..OR wait and take it with my nursing classes in the fall. What do you think guys??

I will be using the Elementary Statistics by Larson and Farber.

Personally I want to concentrate only on my core nursing classes once they begin, so I'm getting as much as possible out of the way. Once I start the program in the fall, the only non-nursing class I'll have left is a humanities elective. I want to do very well in my science classes because I am definitely going on to get my BSN and possibly my MSN (CRNA???:uhoh21: ) so I need the grades. Anyway, I'm taking Micro over the summer bc I don't want to have the added stress of a science class in addition to my nursing classes and clinicals. Just my two cents since you asked :chuckle

Welcome to everyone!!! Looking forward to this semester. :)

I just got my grades for last semester and I aced A & P 1! I start nursing courses 1/24, and the nursing dept. discouraged us from taking A & P 2 during the 1st semester of nursing program. So I'll be taking 2 in the 1st summer session and micro in the 2nd summer session. What a summer:scrying: Good luck to all!

I am not sure what the name of the book is. The authors last name is Sullivan. I have a TI-84 Plus. I will not need to specifically buy a TI-83 will I?

I'm taking AP 2 in the Spring, in the end of January. I did pretty well in AP 1 , and everyone I come across say that AP 2 is easier than AP 1. So I know that it will be a bit less stressful than AP1. The only thing that I'm worried about the Spring semester is having to deal w/ micro and organic chem.

Specializes in Hey I'm now an RN!!.

I did the same route...I am done with all the pre -req's they will allow so I can do nursing alone. But unfortunately they won't let me take 3 classes, micro, pharm, and professional issues. They said I have to take those with the nursing courses...:o But this semester I am taking A&P II and nutrition.

Good luck to everyone!!!
