Hi everyone! I am starting this thread for anyone that will be applying to the COC spring 2015 semester!
I am so nervous to start applying, and so excited at the same time!
I am curious as to what every ones GPA is that will be applying?

Buy them. I start second semester and we use the same books for second. I am glad I didnt rent because having to rent for 2-4 semesters ends up costing more. Plus, you can use the books when you study for NCLEX.

Thank you! Now I can start looking into which website I can find them the cheapest.
I got the majority of mine from Amazon. However, I think one was actually cheaper at the COC bookstore. I ended up buying all NEW because I didnt want another students highlight marks or scribbles which would distract me. Lol.

Do you think it's okay to purchase the older editions of the books?
Hmmmmm. Im not sure. I torn with my response. Lol. While the older edition mat be affordable, it MAY miss something. So I dont know. Lol.

I put all the books(used since its cheaper) in my cart on COC website and its comes out to a little over $700!! As for amazon, it only saved me $100. No way I can come up with this and my financial aid is still in the works. Anyone know of any programs that help pay for books on campus?

I asked the professors, and pharmacology said with hesitation you can use the older editions, but it may not have all up to date information that we will need and we will be using these books for the next two years. I was going to purchase older editions since the total would come out to about sixty, but since we will be using these books and not have to buy any other books for the next two years (aside from psych books) I am just going to order the books they requested. It seems like a lot of money up front, but if you divide it between the next four semesters, it is really reasonable.
I decided to go with all older editions because I'm unable to afford the new ones right now, and it came out to about $80 for all of them on Amazon. I've heard that there is very little difference between them, and sometimes it's just the order of the chapters or a difference in the page numbers. Hopefully it's the right decision :***:
