  1. Do you know what the requirements are for the residency program? I graduated Dec. 16 and just recently got my license and I am going to be starting my Bachelors in a couple months.
  2. we wore business casual attire on our first day of skills and after that we wore our uniforms
  3. who did you get?
  4. um I wouldn't say it was non stop studying. A lot of what you learn first semester is hands on in the skills lab. I would definitely find a study partner or study group to work with once a week. J.ust take everything in strides and try not to get stressed
  5. Congrats!! You will love the program. I just finished my 3rd semester. One more to go for me. A little insight, the first semester is tough. You will be there 5 days a week for the first 8 weeks. Skills day are about 6-7 hours long. And you will feel like your head will explode. The second 8 weeks it gets a little shorter, depending on the hospital you may go 2 days a week or 1 12 hour day. Its alot of information to take in, but all of the teachers want you to succeed and they are great. Just really practice in the skills lab because there are alot of practicums you have to pass before going to the hospital and it is very intimidating. Do you know who you have?
  6. 3rd semester gets better. I just finished 3rd. You will have a chance to breath as you aren't in school as much and naterial is easier to understand since you have been doing it for a year now. Do you know who you have for 3rd yet?
  7. I just finished my 3rd semester moving on to the 4th!!! Are there are people on here that just graduated? Looking for the syllabus for 4th and any advice.
  8. I just finished my 3rd semester and we cover pharmacology throughout the whole program. I don't know how necessary it is to take before hand. The interpretation of lab tests, that I am not sure. I don't know what they cover. Again it is stuff that we cover in the program. Do you have any background in the medical field? The first semester is tough. You are there practically all day in the pharm lab and lecture. There is a lot of material, but they make sure you know it. All of the professors are great.
  9. I just finished my 3rd semester at COC. We cover pharmacology through out the whole program so I dont know if the pharmacology class is needed, lab interpretation class might be helpful.
  10. Hi I just saw your post. Where about do you live? I haven't had much trouble with the traffic. It started to get a little tiring but as the semesters go on you are there less and less. I would leave at about 5:30 for a 7 class but I would usually get there early. Coning home sometimes was worse than others. Just depends on when I would get out of class. But it is manageable. You can on or email at [email protected]. who did you get as an instructor
  11. I just finished my first semester with COC. I am very pleased with the program. All the instructors are great. I had Corbett and Carrillo. The whole nursing staff is great. It may feel overwhelming with all the paperwork but they help you every step. If you guys have any questions let me know.
