Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

So the statistics class opened up today and I wasn't lucky enough to get one of the recommended instructors. I looked through the class and am not sure if I should be worried. The things that worry me are, I have not found tutorial youtube videos that others have mentioned having. There are KhanAcademy videos, but haven't watched any yet. What does bother me is there is very little announcements to read. She does not state expectations, except once she said "as per GCU policy".

.

If you go to youtube and type in HLT362, that alone will bring up the videos that are exactly like the worksheets in excel. Just do it! you will be fine.

Thank you everyone for the help on the STATS issue. I will work on it later today. I want to have at least the first two discussion posts completed.

Concepts in Community and Public Health is completed and the final project submitted. It looked scary but if broken into parts, and completed diligently, it is easily doable. Didn't have to change anything because Turnitin liked the paper (2%).

Oh, and Puddles, I love your avatar. It seems fitting at GCU and this forum! smile-1081.gif

Rob - That's Fred. He was hand raised as he was an orphan. About as tame as a Roo is going to get. LOVES you if you have a handful of almonds, which I did at the time. LOL Have thought about making it my avatar for GCU, but not sure they would see the humor. hehe

This week is finish the CLC, then the final project for Community for me. Wish me luck!

What did you all do your "new" diabetes med/intervention paper on? Last week of Patho. I'm going to double up trends too. I took two days off this week so that gives me 6 days to write the paper and do the PPT! :writing:

Winter - it was!! A friend of mine here knows someone who does kangaroo rescue. They didn't have joeys at the time, but they had raised Fred and 2 others that come back each night. They had around 2 dozen wild roo's there too - they learned they get pellets/free food. :) You could pet the 3 they raised and released, but Fred is the tamest. I have another picture where it looks like we are nose to nose. We almost were. One of my highlights of moving here so far. I won't forget it that is for sure! Be an old lady in the nursing home talking about Fred the kangaroo LOL

Made it through Stats without a scratch! Probably shortened my life by a few years due to the stress, but at least it's over. I was totally preparing myself for a B, but I guess the stars were aligned in my favor-hard to believe! Now starting my second week of Research. It really makes time fly by when I double up. I'm trying to speed up this process until I reach the end...hopefully sooner than later!

Yea!!! Congrats!

I have 2 wks til I head to stats..... ugh.

Would love to double up a bit somewhere along the way. Trying to figure out how to do it twice on the last week of one class and the first week of another before we head back to the US for 30 day R&R. Then I wouldn't have to worry about jet lag and finishing the last 2 wks of class.

When do you start the class? Try to get someone off the good list :)

Hello Tokmom I was wondering where can I find "the good list" it's a really long thread I was hoping you might have it handy. Let me know if not and I'll start digging. Thanks on advanced.
