Congrats! What did u do to get the job in terms of resume, cover letter? Is it a residency? Would love to hear some details to help in my job search. Congrats again and good luck.
1 year residency! What did I do----that I'm not sure. Lol--the app was electronic and honestly speaking I'm not sure they even read all that junk lol... The HR/recruiter skimmed over my resume (had a print out while we were interviewing )
I will tell u I put my relevant experience on my resume vs every job I've had.. ( I have a fire/EMS/ER background) , I'm sure that helped. I didnt out that I worked at SB slinging coffee or olive garden waiting tables getting yelled at lol
However if thats ur background it's ok too--but Play up on any healthcare experience that u have. Even if it's volunteering
The best thing u can do is smile, be yourself and be genuine. Apply to areas you'll be happy in. If your heart is in Peds oncology/st. Jude & you u get a job interview working with adults in a general med floor dealing with stuff like gastric bypass, appendicitis and more isolation patients than u have fingers and toes ...I think it kinda shows that u are just there for a "job" not bc u want it ya know?? I think that's important.
