4. None yet!

Feel free to come back and update us about any changes, especially if you get some good changes. :) Thanks for giving in to my curiosity!

Good luck. I am in the same boat, just interviews, no offers.

Thank you so much! I know how badly we all want job offers, but at least we're getting interviews. It's a step in the right direction, especially when just getting the chance to talk to someone is so rare. We will find something, the right job at the right time. Keep your head up and good luck to you as well!

Just curious why you didn't accept the offers. I haven't had my offers yet, just interviews.

I had options making sure I select the one that is most beneficial for my family and career.

1. 6 different hospitals, probably around 50-60 positions within those hospitals

2. Two of the hospitals had positions specifically for new grads

3. I heard back from 4 out of the 6 hospitals, two interviews

4. One job offer at my number one choice and I took it!

Mine are...

1. 40 hospitals and roughly 200 jobs

2. 60 new grad, and remainder regular

3. 20 rejections/weeded out, 1 interview resulting in rejection

4. None yet!

1. How many places have you applied so far? - Five, all hospitals.

2. How many new grad postings vs. regular postings? One brand new residency, all others "regular"; some were mentioned as "new grads welcome". Some between 40 and 50 applications total.

3. How many have you heard from one way or the other? Something was heard from every hospital; actual interviews in three of them.

4. Any job offers yet? Two; one FT night in med/surg and one FT days step down cardio in the aforementioned residency program. As the latter place has better ICU (my ultimate goal), I accepted the residency program offer. Total time on market around 5 weeks (BSN new grad, no experience, no volunteering, no even connections in that place).

1. How many places have you applied so far?

A grand total of six completed applications, each with individualized cover letter and resume tailored to include as many keywords that were used in the original job description as possible. Each complete application took over 8 hours.

2. How many new grad postings vs. regular postings?

One was a posting specifically for a new grad, the other five were postings that did not bar a new grad from applying (In other words did not specifically require experience.) I also called all of these places before submitting applications to ensure that they do hire new grads.

3. How many have you heard from one way or the other?

I heard back from five out of six places that I applied for. One job I had a phone interview for and nothing further, one job I had a call-back, one job notified me they were moving forward with other candidates, two locations offered me interviews and positions, and one I have yet to hear from.

4. Any job offers yet?

Two offers. I took one and can't wait to start work next week!!

1. How many places have you applied so far?

I'm going on about 12 places and probably 30 positions. Just really started the last 2 weeks.

2. How many new grad postings vs. regular postings?

Mostly regular positions; two new grad postings.

3. How many have you heard from one way or the other?

I had two interviews so far. Other's I have received the generic "we are moving forward with other applicants" message.

4. Any job offers yet?

Nope :( But graduation is still 3 months away so I'm holding out hope.

I am a May 2013 grad. from an ADN program. Passed NCLEX in July & have been applying all summer long, including a few applications prior to graduation.

1. How many places have you applied so far?

34..all local hospitals, nursing homes, outpatient centers, flu nurse clinics, etc. 68 positions total.:dead:

2. How many new grad postings vs. regular postings?

Just a few new grad positions, especially around graduation time. Those go quickly around here (Connecticut).

3. How many have you heard from one way or the other?

A few have sent rejection emails (some nicer than others). A lot have not responded to calls or emails to follow up. Interviewed at a place I worked at during school and although no position was available then, they "would love to find you a home". Waiting for a second interview call back this week from them (they are my 1st choice). In the meantime I have an interview coming up at a place I applied to back in August. Not overly excited (not where I want to be, but they are 10 min. from my house) but a job is a job.

4. Any job offers yet?

2...both 3-11 shift, which I can not work (kids & afterschool activities combined with hubby's work schedule). We shall see what the end of the week brings me. Hopefully it will be something to celebrate

I graduated in May, passed my NCLEX exam in July.

1) over 20, ones all over my state, a few in surrounding states and various ones on that usajobs site.

2) 5-7 new grad postings, though many of the regular postings listed new grads will be considered.

3) I heard back from 3, I had 2 phone interviews, a third that was cancelled, and an in-person interview.

4) I have had one job offer and I have taken the position.

Update

Interview at place 10 min. from my house was a disaster....very unorganized & not someplace I would want to work as a first RN job.

Happily, my first choice (a place I had previously worked at during school) called and offered me a job last night. Woo Hoo! I start orientation in 2 weeks.

Keep at it everyone because it will happen!
