So today was a typical day at my LTC facility. Lunch time was crazy so one person wen t and got lunch for several peoplce, me and the RN supervisor at at the nurses desk and workedas we ate. We them got up to leave the unit for a moment then returnced back the des k. We took at drink of our cokes ansomeone had put SOAP in our drinks!! OOMG we were so ******. People who do those types of things need mental help! That is not just spiteful, it is dangerous. Thankfully it was just soap.

Even though I probably would have flipped my lid over this childish kindergarten BS, children, or those who act like children do this to get a rise out of people. The best thing you could do is pretend like it didn't bother you.

If that doesn't work, plant some drugs on them and tell their supervisor they stole from the med cart. They will be out of your hair. :rotfl:

Ugh. So much for your "break."

Be wary of that person. We had someone like that that followed through on her mental illness problems. She killed a patient. She could easily have killed one of her coworkers. One of her favorite pastimes was to create med errors. Imagine her putting patient meds in our drinks; not beyond her at all. From now on, keep your drink within sight, in your hand, or dump it. I would go so far as to post a sign for all to see.

Wow - I sure hope you don't work with me. I would dread the day I accidentally ticked you off!

Whoever did it was trying to get a reaction. If you gave a reaction, the person got what he or she wanted. Try not to make a big deal out of this. It's soooo much more likely it was just a prank than that it was a sign of a blackhearted soul.

I think I would have calmly, and with enough volume to be heard by many, said "I don't appreciate having my drink spoiled," and gone on with my day.

It's always a good thing to not leave a drink by itself anyway. Sometimes impish patients like to do things to them....

A woman in my town recently got arrested for battery for doing the exact same thing to her husband. He ended up in the ER, very sick. Just from dish soap. It really isn't funny - it's pretty hateful and I would worry about her sanity.

Were any of the residents around? A demented LOL dropped a bracelet in my drink once. Someone saw her and told me before I actually drank out of the cup (thank god, because she picked her nose a lot).

Everybody walks on egg shells. Even the patients tremble when they reach for the call light. It's great.

Of course I'm just kidding, but for some reason I'm in a great mood tonight. It must be the mountain dew.

recently a man was arrested for masturbating into his female co-worker's yogurt

Now that's mean , now my work pays pranks but more like flipping name bages upside down . Scaring the crap out of you by coming behind you and yelling , transferring a call to you that was someone you hated then runing and pointing .
