Hello everyone! I may be a little early with this, but here's a new post for all of you hoping to apply this September 2nd for the Spring 2015 semester at UMSON. You can post questions you have, helpful advice you would like to give (if you're already in the program), etc.

I specifically have a question for those who have already applied to the Spring 2014 semester and got in. When you applied last September, when in November did you get your acceptance letter in the mail? Was it the beginning, middle, or toward the end of November? I'm asking this because the other nursing school I am applying to only gives a 3-week time period after the end of October (when they let you know if you made it in or not) to accept or decline enrollment. So, if I don't make it into UMSON, I'd want to be able to give this other nursing school an answer before the 3-week time period runs out.

I applied to shady grove!

 So many Shady Grovers! This is great, I hope to be seeing all of you!

Also, those of you going for Baltimore, if you get in how will the commute be? I'm curious! I went to Baltimore for the fourth or fifth time in my life on Saturday and was thinking of all of you and your future commute. :geek:

My commute to the Baltimore campus would be awesome. I live in Balt County.....my neighbor behind me lives in Balt. City. So I am so, so close!!

vigor145 that's awesome! That is very close! You must know the area pretty well! :geek: So I'm guessing a 10 min. commute tops, right?

@littlemango......I am about 4 miles away. The time is totally dependent on the time of day and all the lights!!! But I am very lucky to be so close!!! :yeah:

Wow! Yes, you are! Like I did in the Towson thread, I shall now send good vibes to you so you may benefit from the short commute! Haha! Have you ever considered walking or biking to campus, as to save for gas? I'm sure there are times where it might be stop and go, since you'll be in city limits. But then again, I'm not very familiar with Baltimore's city streets!

I plan on living in one of the school's apartments they have on campus!

Yeah!!!!! I was admitted. I am applying as a RN-BSN student though so that is probably why I got a decision earlier. However, I wish everyone the best. I may see some students on the Baltimore campus as my schedule allows.

Congratulations bcandygurl! Glad to hear the good news! Hopefully, it won't be too long before the rest of us hear?

Are you active duty military by the way? I know on previous threads they heard a lot earlier than everyone else.

I KNOW it is only for internal auditing purposes, but are there some of you who still have their status set to "Complete - Ready To Review"?

Seeing that some people's statuses have changed and others have not, makes that change meaningful to ME.

Mine is still sitting where it has been.

Thanks everyone. No, I'm not in the armed services at all usedtobecool84. I didn't apply for the traditional program though so they have alot more information to review I would imagine with the traditional admits. Vigor145, all you are waiting for like Greylady said is for an Admit or Provisional Admit change in status. I know it is easier said than done.

Congratulations on your admission bcandygurl.

I am currently following the CNL thread for the ELMSN; my interview was yesteday and it went well. For us CNL applicants decisions will not be made until early November.

Again congrats!!! :)
