  1. littlemango I am also a Shady Grove admit! muldrowtl, I chose Shady Grove for the smaller, more intimate class sizes. Coming from UMD College Park, I realized finding recommendation letters and getting to know your professors on top of attending class and office hours was quite challenging. Shady Grove offers a more intimate class size which allows me to network and learn more efficiently.
  2. hopeful 2015, I have received a call and she said the letters are being mailed today so expect a call/letter.
  3. hopeful2015, no i didn't get a call just a status change online. I tried calling today to confirm and no one was in the office picking up the phone all day. I guess well just get our information in the mail.
  4. AFTER ALL THIS AGONY I FINALLY GOT IN!!! ADMIT INSTITUTION!!! I'm crying with excitement!!
  5. purpleandwhite, I was wait listed last semester. Like everyone, you will receive a letter in the mail. This letter gives you certain information about how to accept or decline your spot on the wait list. From there, the admissions office (going off of what they told me last semester) will review ALL WAIT LISTED APPLICANTS again, once a position opens up. They review all these applicants against each other and pick the person (or people) that would best fit the incoming class. You can be notified that you were accepted off of the wait list up until the first day of classes. If you are not accepted off of the wait list for the Spring, your application automatically gets carried over to the Fall (following certain guidelines they provide you), and you will not need to reapply or submit more money. I hope this helps! Good luck! Wish you the best!
  6. happymochi did you just get the call? or was this earlier today that this happened?
  7. usedtobecool84 People heard they got in later than the first week last semester too! Never loose hope!
  8. To my understanding from last semester, all accepted students will get a call. All other students are just notified online. I never go a call last semester.
  9. Waiting as well... I was wait listed last semester and people found out they were accepted April 1st and I didn't find out I was wait listed until May 3rd. It can be a long process, but hopefully no one will have to wait as long as I did for my admissions decision last semester. Good Luck to all and Congrats to those who all received a call/status change
  10. Zem414, Congrats! Do you mind sharing your admissions criteria? I'm anxiously awaiting my decision and would like to compare where I am versus the already accepted students. Thanks!
  11. I applied to shady grove!
  12. Mine still says that as well. Someone on here said we would have our decisions by the end of the week, so lets just hope these are the last two days of waiting. Its been a long, extremely stressful wait.
  13. For the people still waiting to hear back: GreyLady Posted this in a previous forum "All accepted students are notified AT THE SAME TIME - as much as possible given the numbers and how long it takes to call them - it can take 2 - 3 days. Make sure the phone number on your application is both there and accurate. As far as the applicants are concerned, there really is no difference between Committee Ready and Complete and Ready for Review. It is more an internal processing code for the admissions staff so it does not tell the applicant anything." So with that being said I assume I am either wait listed or denied at this point.
  14. I am also still "committee ready" for the tradition BSN program. You're not alone :)
  15. That was me. The first time I called admissions they informed me we'd all know by last Friday. After my status not changing I called again and they informed me that decisions will be sent out until the end of the first week in May... So done worry if it hasn't changed.
