How is the process for the WIA program? I am just found out about this program and was wondering how hard it is to qualify.

amount that u have to pay overall?nothing. i have 60% tuition paid by the post 9-11 g.i. bill and the state of texas also gave me a wia grant of $7500, so i actually get over $6000 back because i also qualified for full financial aid.

for those of you going to western suffolk boces, just curious about the first payment...I got my letter today 7.23, I had to go pick it up because it wasn't getting to me by mail for some reason...as I am reading it when I got back home I realized they wanted $2000 TODAY! or it said I will loose my spot...I have financial aid and pell grants in place, not sure what to do, if any one has any advice please post. I contacted financial aid as soon as I read the letter but they were closed for the weekend, I left a message. Will def. call back monday morning to find out what to do, but in the mean time, please write back. Thanks guys :)

I post the wrong amount last time but at the vo-tech near me it will cost 5 thousand something can't remember the exact amount.

1* What's the overall cost of your program? $4350 for tuition, approx $1000 for books, and about $200 for uniforms, physical, shoes, etc.

2* If U qualify for Financial Aid than what's the remaining

amount that U have to pay overall? No financial aid, all out of pocket. :eek: At least the school has a payment schedule, partial payment every 2 months

3* What school R-U-goin' to? Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School

4* Where's your school located? Piscataway, NJ

Starting classes Sept. 7th. So excited! Sent the first tuition payment out today, bought my shoes yesterday, books tomorrow!

I will be attending Tennessee Technology Center of Jacksboro in Tn starting Sept 1st. The total program cost is $5,539 I do qualify for financial aid, but it will only cover my tuition, books, and fees so I will have to pay for my scrubs, shoes, watch, stethoscope etc... out of pocket. Meaning that I will be putting out about $1000 over the next 12 months. The way I figure it is I will make that back within the first few weeks after graduating so it will be well spent.;)

amount that you have to pay overall?$0, i qualified for wia & a pell grant. some students take out student loans but i did not need to.

3* what school are you going to? county vocational school (other area private schools are over $20,000 and some have provisional accreditation and very low nclex pass rates.:uhoh21:

1.) The program costs $4500.00

2.) For Summer I took a Stafford loan, Fall and Spring are Pell Grants so I don't have to pay anything!

3.)My school is Alvin Community College

4.) Its located in Alvin, Texas about 13 miles from Houston

TIP- Community college is ALOT cheaper than some of these private/technical schools. My sis went to Medical Assistant School for 12000 at a technical school, when they offer the same programs at community college for like 2-3 thousand :yeah:
