Hi I was curious to see how much schools are everywhere else... i'll start off with mine..

2008 Lancaster, CA $22,000 (I feel I paid to much:crying2:)

Wow I was stressing so badly about paying 26000 for my education, but seeing this and adapting that awesome way of thinking makes me feel so much better!:nurse::clpty:

Specializes in LTC, Rehab, CNA, HHA, Nurse Mentor.

The LPN school that I am attending (Academy of Practical Nursing off of Okeechobee Blvd here in West Palm Beach, FL) was a little over 18,000. This year its up to 19k. This includes all of your scrubs, books and whatever else they want to give you. It's apparently the only low cost program here besides Palm Beach State that is accredited and well established. However, after grants depending upon your situation you're basically looking at 8 - 9k in loans which should be the only concern IMO. Books and curriculum are all up to date, but you kind of have to teach yourself and if you have any questions the teachers ARE there to help. No pre-reqs, but I do recommend being a CNA first before going to through the LPN program (makes life easier), even though you don't have to be to get in. Good Luck Everyone!

PS. Yes this is the school that was involved in the whole LPN fraudulence and was all on the news. *(LOL)* But trust me on this when I say it's a pretty decent school with 80s decor and a little unorganized but we're all human and no one is perfect.

Don't feel bad Tempest52488. I'm in California and paid close to $25,000 for my program. This included tuition, books, uniform, and lab/clinical equipment.

I just compare my tuition to a car and think that my education will not depreciate like a car so my money is not wasting away. That thinking makes me feel better. :D

That's how I've looked at it too! Totally worth the money :D just sucks that it takes a while to pay it

Specializes in Infusion.

Bellingham Technical College in Bellingham, WA for the LPN program is about a 1 year wait once you complete your pre-reqs, and the cost will be about $6000.

Specializes in family medicine.

Tuition is $31,000 and I received $10,000 in financial aid, $1,500 in tuition reimbursement (work) so in the end I am paying about $18-19k all inclusive (books, uniform, etc.)

I am in CA and just started school Nov 2010 :) at the end of the program total cost will be around $2,500

Missouri- Right at $9000 which includes all textbooks, scrubs etc. All supplies furnished. Great program and ranked pretty high in the state.

which school are you attending? thanks!

I currently live in Newyork and I heard about the Mid manhatten LPN Program ( does anyone know about this program or a program that is in Newyork.. that i could go to ?

I am currently attending Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts in Fresno, CA. The tuition is about $30K. There are some other less expensive programs in my area, but they all have very long waiting lists or lottery's. I wanted to get the program finished so I can start working! :nurse:

Attended Downey Adult school last year...program was 12 months long and cost me $4500. It was a long process though. 3 different stages of elimination and they only took 30 out of maybe 500 applicants.

I've spoken to a few students that attend there now and I think the price is now around $5500.

How is the school so far?... I'm thinking of attending in July?

I'm in San Mateo, Ca (a few miles out of San Francisco) and will be paying a little under $30k for my LVN program, including classes, a prereq, uniforms, supplies, books, etc. It is a private school and the price is vomit-inducing, but I was at the local community college for over a year and a half and only got into ONE PREREQ!! It will pay for itself in the first year...so i'm all smiles! :)
