I am a 57 year old single mother moving from California to Garland this Summer. I am looking into getting into Concorde for their LVN program and cannot decide whether to go full time or part time. What is your schedule like?

Hello!
I started the Evening Weekend program at Concorde in Grand Prairie. We went to class 2-3 nights per week and Sat/Sun all day. It is definitely doable for being a single mom and having to work during the day. If I remember correctly some Instructors will make you wait outside the classroom until the 1st break of you were more than 10 minutes late.  I dropped the program because they announced in the lab class that their status changed from Full with warnings to Conditional with the state of Texas. Since I had to get private loans to pay for it, I did not want to pay and at the time of graduation the program was no longer accredited by the state.  However, that was 4 years ago (12/2020) and I have someone who dropped when I did but since returned and said they are accredited again so she is going to tough it out. I wish you the best. If you have to get private loans or pay out of pocket, you can go to West Coast University and get your BSN (you can complete most of the non-nursing courses on Sophia.org (complete courses in 8 hours or max 7 days). Get through the English/Math/ even Anatomy/Physiology with Lab courses quickly on Sophia.org. You are considered a nursing student day one, so if you apply for Nurse Corp or VA HPSP scholarship you are already considered a nursing student even if you have to take all non-nursing courses at WCU (the program is 38 months for Evening/Weekends).
