How much was your LPN/LVN school?

Hi I was curious to see how much schools are everywhere else... i'll start off with mine..

2008 Lancaster, CA $22,000 (I feel I paid to much:crying2:)

i am currently attending gaston community college lpn program. i made it in after my first application. my gpa was 3.8, and my act score was 26, which helped me to earn extra points.

no waiting lists, they just take the top 60 most qualified.

my program with uniforms, everything, is right at 4,000$

I am starting LPN school this coming Monday. I didn't get much in financial aid, but after all is said and done I will be paying just under $31,000. It includes all of my books as well, but like you think it's high. :uhoh3:

I'm assuming your school is a private school as well? These prices are ridiculous! The local community college has a 2 year waiting list to get in and just to get your prerequisite classes are so hard with all the budget cuts because then there's less classes available and everyone wants them. Grr! Makes me upset!

I begin my LVN school in less than 2 weeks... I am paying around $33k for tuition and supplies (scrubs, equipment, books). I feel I am over paying as well, but it is the best option for me to get my career started! Good luck to everyone just starting! :nurse::nurse::nurse:

Yes, I am going to a private school. Here in CT they just brought back the state LPN programs, however, they are so competitive there is no guarantee that you'd get in (as of right now they won't be accepting new students until Aug. 2012). So unfortunately the more expensive program is my best option.

Wow with the economy I would think it would have got cheaper since I went but seems like it's getting more and more higher. With the supposably "nursing shortage" I don't understand how jobs are so scarce! I cant find one and applied to like 7 places already, how do they expect us to pay schooling off!? I have a school loan from salliemae and I got 13 more years to pay it off blahh, won't take me that long if I find a job!! I'm so frustrated.

Missouri- Right at $9000 which includes all textbooks, scrubs etc. All supplies furnished. Great program and ranked pretty high in the state.

I just started the LPN program at Milwaukee Area Technical College. Because I had most of the pre-requisite courses from my previous degree, I only needed to take 2 courses and I did that in the summer. MATC uses a lottery system to choose students and I got in on my first try :yeah:. It will cost around $5000.

I'll be starting in April and my program costs 11,000.. i don't think thats bad at all compared to some of the outrageous costs of other programs...

Don't feel bad Tempest52488. I'm in California and paid close to $25,000 for my program. This included tuition, books, uniform, and lab/clinical equipment.

I just compare my tuition to a car and think that my education will not depreciate like a car so my money is not wasting away. That thinking makes me feel better. :D

I LOVE that way of thinking!! I never thought of it like that. Makes me feel a bit better about the high cost of education. Thanks :)
