How long did it take you to receive your LPN license?

Did you name appear on the state boards website first or did you receive you actual license then your name appeared on the website?

Thanks, Im from California waiting on my license number. I know i just recently passed but Im soooo ready to start working and helping the ones in need.

From what I've read here, California is sllllllooooooowwwwww is getting the licenses out. But in Ohio, I had my results in 3 days (via automated telephone thingee that I had to pay for), name on the registry in 5, and license in hand in 7. I started working as an LPN the day after my name was on the registry.

I received the news that I passed by calling the hotline three days after I took the exam and had my license within a week. My name was on the Office of Professions website two days after I got my news. California sucks like lemons...I would have gone stark mad waiting for the results. I get sick each time I read about the Californians waiting...I feel so bad for them.

Hi!

I'm from California and yes, CA BON is extremely slow with NCLEX results. It's very unfortunate that we do not have the pleasure of quick results like most other states.

Anyway, my name is not yet on the online verification site, but that's because I didn't mail my payment for the actual license right away and your name is only posted when they have recieved the payment. I did mail out a check for $120 on Friday, the 11th of May. I checked the online verfication site earlier today and my name is still not posted but then again, its only been a few days. But like you, I'm eager to get my license number and start working! They say it takes about a week for it to show up but who knows, maybe a little longer?! I will let you know when my name does appear.

Have you mailed in your payment already?

Yes. Don't capitalize every word in the paragraph.

Sorry. Couldn't resist...

LOL sorry Mike

success1 - I agree with Mike. Your posts are very hard to read with the capitalization of every word. You might want to get in the habit now of writing like you were taught in high school English so you get used to it. Charting is key and you cannot chart like that... especially with all the abbreviations and medical terms we have to use. Not only that, it looks unprofessional and no one will take you seriously. GL!

I received my initial LVN licensure from California last year. Be aware that you will not receive a license number, and your name will not appear online, until the California BVNPT deposits the $120 check that you sent them after you received the passing results in the mail.

Here was my situation...I took NCLEX-PN on December 28, and received my passing results in the mail on January 9. I immediately mailed the check to the California BVNPT and, once they deposited the check, my name appeared on the website along with a license number on January 20.
