  1. Hello everyone! I'm starting Liberty University's RN to BSN program this month... Was wondering if there are others out there starting as well?? And if there are any LU graduates out there... Any tips to make it through the program??? Thank you in advance!
  2. Hiii! Wanted to find out if you decided to go through with LU's Rn to BSN program?
  3. Nope, no particulat patient, and no assessment data. I'm assumed heart failure in general and the 3 priority diagnosis. Any suggestions?
  4. I was hoping some of you could give me some input...I have a paper to write on heart failure. It's asking for 3 priority nursing diagnosis...I've already chosen 3 that I think are of priority, but would like to see what others will come up with. Thank you in advance.
  5. I'm in the LVN to RN transition program and it works a little different from the generic RN program. Usually, only those who are actually accepted into the program are allowed to enroll into NE201. Apparently, only for this term, they have accepted all the LVNs on the list to enroll and take the class. We find out in May whether or not we start this Fall. Those who do not start this Fall are gauranteed to start Fall '09. For those who are starting in the Fall are joining the 2nd year generic program RN students. Anyway, March is just around the corner. Good luck to you! I hope you are accepted!
  6. Has anyone taken NE 201:Transition to a Associate Degree Nursing at San Diego City College? What should I expect out of this class? Is it hard? Is it easy? I work fulltime...should I expect hours and hours of studying?
  7. Oh thats great! Good luck! I took my TEAS already. I dont think I'm gonna start this fall. I called and they said they usually accept 8-12 students. They need 70 students and theyre at 60 which means 10 LVNs are for sure in and possibly more. I'm #20 so I'm probably not gonna get in this sem! I' so bummed! I need about 8 student to drop for me to get in! **crosses fingers. Its a big number but you never knowww! Btw, you're waiting to get into the LVN-RN transition program right?
  8. ive been on the list for about a year now. got a letter that theyre accepting all the lvn stundents to take the transition class, but still not sure how many are going to actually be in the fall 08 nursing program. i hope im one of them though! are you waiting for the bridge prog as well?
  9. Hello all! I graduated years ago, but I'm pretty much considered a new grad. I finally landed my first nursing job in a long term care facility, and I am nervous as heck! I started reading my med surg book to feel a little more prepared. But honestly, I am so scared. Any advice, anyone?
  10. Anyone waiting for acceptance letters from San Diego City College? They say theyre supposed to be mailed out in February...I can't wait! I hope I finally get in!
  11. Hello everyone! I still have to take college algebra, chemistry, and lifespan dev.psych! I'm finishing up the semester at my local community college, so I'm hoping to get the 3 prereqs squared away by Feb or March 2008? Well, thats the plan at least! Heehee. I have taken human growth and development and was hoping to get credit for the class so I wouldnt have to take lifespan, but I guess the class doesnt fulfill the requirement...which really sucks! I'll still have analysis of lit, world religions, gerontology, and patho left to take along with my 4 CSM's, but I was thinking of applying to ISU as soon as I have the 10 prereqs done? What do you all think? Im just so eager to get into the nursing program already! Like everyone else, I'm ready to become an RN!! Thank you all so much! We have such a great supprt system on here!
  12. For those who are applying to or have applied to ISU's LVN to BSN: When did you aplpy or when are you going to apply to ISU...after taking the 10 prereqs (Freshman College Comp,College Algebra, Info tech, Public Speaking, A&P, Chem, Micro, Psychology, Sociology, and Dev. Psych) or after you have ALL your general ed classes done? I'm kind of confused as to when I should apply. I have 3 of the 10 required classes left to take and around 4 general ed classes left. I plan to apply to ISU after I have the 3 required classes done but I'm not sure if thats a smart move. What do you all think? Suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance!
  13. To those who have recently been accepted or are on the wait list for San Diego City's LVN to RN nursing program: I recently received a letter saying "Congratulations! You have been conditionally accepted..." and the conditions are applying to the school and passing the TEAS. It also states that I will be contacted in Feb 2008 if I have been selected to start in March 2008. My questions are: Is this the wait list letter that everyone receives after submitting an application? Or is this an actual "condition acceptance letter?" Assuming that I pass TEAS, what are my chances of actually starting in March 2008? I don't know why, but this letter got me a little confused. Has anyone else received a similar letter? Thanks in advance!:spin: BTW, if you noticed, I accidentally put RN-LVN. Oops! I'm sure you guys knows this, but I meant LVN to RN... :lol_hitti Nurses ROCK!:roll
  14. I recently received a letter from Grossmont College in regards to my application. Whew! Finally, my application is in and is being processed. It took a while, but at least its in. What shocked me about the letter were the lines stating that the waiting period for the LVN-RN is 3 years! I cannot believe it! Is anyone waiting to get into Grossmont or any of the other community colleges in San Diego? For those that are currently in the nursing program for any of the San Diego community colleges, how long was your wait? I just want to get in already!
  15. Same here! I just checked it and my name is up WITH a license number! It's official guys, we're LVN's! Yayyy! I'm so happy for the all of us! I'm excited to see the actual license with my name on it! Woooohooo! :balloons: Congrats to all of us! We did it!
