I wanna be a *working* RN!

M/S, L/D, Hospice, LTC, Home Health, Peds, Oncology, ICU, Psych, Trauma, ER, whatever - if an organization thinks my attributes fit for a certain position, I will give it my best.

Whatever type it is, I will be a very skilled and valuable employee and caregiver.

After working in a nursing home, I know I don't want to do that after I graduate, but if that is the only RN job availabe to me, I will excel at it.

Specializes in ICU / PCU / Telemetry / Oncology.

Drawn to NICU mostly, and pediatrics second. I am sure that is the direction I'd go.

I have a lot of experience with kids so I'm thinking Peds, but in the far, far future, I ultimately see myself either teaching or doing research.

Geriatrics, hospice, or wound care but I am not set on any of them at this point.

I am really drawn to Psychiatric nursing. Psychology has always interested me and I loved my abnormal psych class. Of course this could all change once I go through the different clinicals in my nursing program.

Specializes in Critical Care, Clinical Documentation Specialist.

Right now (haven't started NS yet) I'm thinking Trauma, ICU or Cardiac CCU. It's all open ended right now, I'm not ruling anything out at this point.... you never know.

Specializes in Perinatal.

labor and delivery is the reason i'm going into nursing. the whole process of pregnancy and labor has always been fascinating to me. i've worked in ob/gyn offices as a medical assistant, i have coached quite a few births and it's my passion :) i won't start nursing school until next month, so i'm keeping an open mind. my friend went into nursing school wanting l&d, but discovered her passion was er/trauma and was completely bored in l&d! i also think i would be interested in nicu, peds, or oncology (especially pediatric).
