There are so many variables: whether you are an LPN, RN, APN?, whether you work full-time, part-time, prn?, etc.. Can you narrow it down??

Another major variable that affects someone's pay rate is location. For example, an RN in San Francisco could be earning more than $40 hourly while the RN in rural South Carolina could be earning less than $18 per hour. High cost-of-living locations tend to pay healthcare workers more than the rural and low cost-of-living regions.

There is just to much vaiation secondary to gepraphic location, state labor laws, state reimbursement rates, et. al. staff rn >40/hr.

Hospital LPN in rural GA, 13.15/hr + shift diff. for nights and weekends. It sucks, our hospital hasn't been able to give raises in five years. We are non-profit. But I am just grateful to have a job with all the layoffs.

When I was a CNA 2 years ago, I started out @ $13 an hour - no experience- in a hospital.
New Grad RN's (that's me!) start about 22 an hour.
I work for the school system. I won't tell you what county, but I'm in maryland. I make more than most CNAs however, some of my friends who are CNAs are known to make 18-22 an hour. It all depends on where you work. I'm truly blessed to make so much after being a CNA for only 2 years. plan on becoming an LPN then RN, so I know my salary will increase, as I further my education.
