    New day, no poop,supp, poop, poop, no poop, hip fx, no food, puke, no poop, puke. That sums up my patients today, recount, yep all 10 accounted for. Must be a GI special this week.

    Hmm---tube feed, turn, suction, suction, lift, poop, poop again, cath, pain med, post op, empty drain, cath, cath again, cannot find meatus to cath! Sorry, I'm over! A small portion of my first 4 hours!

    Get report, get consent, call doc about INR, give meds, change dressing, doctor badmouthed night nurses to patient, what an ***. Take two more patients at 2300. Pt fell down her stairs! Do some charting.

    0330 ER, all rooms full, triage full, 20 in the rack, never ending stream of patients, 4 ICU, 8 med holds, no relief in sight.............

    sleep-deprivation, anorexic fridge and nothing to eat, busy unit and worst...NF(no f***) for straight year..what a life!

    (ER 7-3 shift GYN) Patient #1 brought in by Air Ambulance:

    Incomplete AB - 4 residents, 2 med students, 1 attending = 7 pelvics. Pitocin, B/P 84/53 after 2 L Codes in U/S. In additon to 5 other patients.

    1st evaluation-accident with plant--3 cuts; LFA; "M" shaped cut also-unknown cause

    2nd eval.-blitzed teen; demands 3 year detox getaway; sent home
