All you nurses out there? Do you spend time on this website while you are at work? If you do, how do you find the time? Im on this website all day when Im at work but I work in a non-related medical office and I am addicted to this website. So every chance I get I type away!!!!

Only on my break in the cafeteria. They have computers there for the staff to check email and surf the web.

I come on my lunch too (if I'm not charting during my lunch) and the rare downtime. But yes, I do come during worktime....but I'm usually doing research, yeah that's it, I come here doing research. :)

I'm at home. Very occasionally at work am I able to sit long enough to access allnurses. If I had the time I would not get in trouble for doing so. As long as the subject is nursing it's A-OK.

No visiting allnurses at work for me. We dont have "access". They found there was way to much time people were "playing" and not working so they password protect the internet access on the units. Only doctors and the nurse managers have access. Which i dont necissarily agree with, but i dont have time at work anyway.

I spend time on the Internet when I'm not doing my work. My work

involves using the computer. I sometimes lookup medications on the

Internet because this is faster than looking it up in a drug book. If

I run across a disease that I'm not familiar with I can look it up

on the Internet also.

Yes, during my lunch breaks and occasionally at downtimes. There is a computer in our break room with web access (though some sites are blocked; fortunately this one isn't!), and also one of the computers at the nurse's station has web access.

I work in a rural hospital and there's tons of downtime! I'm on here every night because I'm the only nurse on in my dept and have no other nurses to talk to. So it's nice to be able to see what other nurses think about things.

No NO! No! NOPE! Any "extra" time we have is to be dedicated to our patients. But I do spend a lot of time on when I am at home or not studying.

NEVER! Besides, I don't even have time to check my work e-mail when I am there. My hospital also "randomly" monitors the employees passwords to see what they have been surfing. If it's not work related they have your head, we have actually had people fired for it. Although, I agree with Tweety. You could say that you are using this website for research. Yeah thats it. If I ever have time that's what I'll say.

I come here at work all the time. Much more than I should, in fact. Which explains why I end up having to finish up work at home all the time.
