Pay: 26-28 base +10.50/hr to work 7p-7a SAT and SUN

(Current) specialty: Med Surge
Facility: very small community hospital
Pay: Roughly 23-26 dollar per hour range, don't even know
for sure what my diff's are, off the top of my head.

Live in a small, midwestern town (nebraska). Rural environment, depressed economy (average income for a family or household is $40k, or even less).
I eatn about $75k a year plus benefits, so roughly $90k-ish? My hourly wage is like $35 something.
This is average to slightly high average for a typical RN here.

Part time job (med-surg): $48/hr with good benefits package (no extra money down for family's insurance)
Per-Diem job (float pool): $50/hr, no benefits.

It would be nice for unions/hospitals to post wages to attract more staff...since it's all negotiated by union I don't see why they can't or don't....

Wow my eyes are truly opened about how horrible the pay in my nebraska/iowa states are after reading these comments.
