Does anyone here care about Canadian pay?
I'm in Alberta - we are fully unionized - so all facilities in all areas of the province pay the same and its all based on experience. All rates are published and non negotiable. (https://www.una.ab.ca/files/uploads/2014/7/SalaryAppendix.pdf)
Location: Alberta Canada
Salary - ~$36 - 48/hr (plus 1.50/hr with BScN)
Shift Differentials - $2.75/hr eves; $5/hr for nights and $3.25 weekends (so if you work nights on a weekend you get $8.25 extra an hour)
Charge pay - $2/hr (so not worth it)
Cost of Living - Variable - big cities (ie Edmonton and Calgary) are high, small towns lower (but still more expensive than many US big cities).
We also have northern benefits if you want to work in the more northern (ie isolated) communities - I think these are typically about an extra $5 an hour plus all shift diffs.
