Yale GEPN Applicants 2011

Published

It didn't look like there was a thread for 2011 Yale GEPN applicants. Since the application recently opened, I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is starting to work on their application.

Anyone else out there?

My guess is that they mailed them out in the afternoon and not in the morning yesterday because they should've arrived to East coaster's in today's mail if mailed out yesterday a.m. Bummer! I was hoping to have the decision by Wednesday since I leave for the East coast Thursday at 7am. SE said they don't send out decisions via email or phone...if I haven't received my letter by Thursday I'm seriously considering physically going to Yale and inquiring while I'm out East (hey it's not via email or phone!)...hopefully it doesn't come to that!

Thanks everyone for the early birthday wishes! Each day feels like I've been waiting for a week. I really wonder if they switched to snail mail just to see us all go crazy on this forum!! I bet they are all getting such a kick out of it, haha. :bdyhdclp:

Thanks for keeping us updated east-coasters. And I'm glad that I'm not the only one being unproductive at work... it's only Tuesday and it feels like this week has gone on FOREVER, and yet I have gotten very little done. And to add to the birthday wishes - happy birthday very soon amalay!

I also live relatively close to Yale and got nothing today. Maybe tomorrow will be the day...! And also happy early birthday amalay.

Nothing today, hopefully tomorrow. This is painful.

If nobody who lives near Yale recieved anything today, I'm guessing that us Midwesterners are going to have to wait until Thursday...

Hey!

I'm curious if anyone knows how big the cohort is for the midwifery GEPN group vs the masters entry nurses. I am applying to the midwifery program as an RN and am curious how many spots are GEPN and how many are not...

I'm waiting on pins and needles like the rest of you! I hope to see you all in the fall!

Best of Luck!

@LolaMac At least you're Midwest! I'm sitting here on the West coast...*sigh* I'll probably have to wait until next week! I can't wait to hear everyone's news!! =]

Dear brain,

Please focus for the next 6 hours until work is over. It will help the day go by faster, and it will help your boss be less frustrated with your lack of productivity. Furthermore, posting on the forum more than ten times MAY annoy the other readers who are anxiously awaiting news of acceptance letter arrival on the East Coast.

Thanks for your cooperation in this sensitive matter.

Your friend,

In the info session with the Midwifery program director they said that every year they added a couple students who already have their RN (2-4). However, since you already have your RN you wouldn't be "competing" in the same pool as the GEPNs for entry, and they generally said that even though the number of accepted RNs per year is small, that it's also because they have substantially fewer applicants for it. Not sure if that helps :\

Good luck to everyone!
