Yale GEPN Applicants 2011

It didn't look like there was a thread for 2011 Yale GEPN applicants. Since the application recently opened, I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is starting to work on their application.

Anyone else out there?

Boo! I am in New York City, and I really thought I'd get a letter today. Just checked, and while today's mail had arrived, there is no letter from Yale! I am going crazy!

Oh no! I'm in NYC too!! This is going to be the WORST wait ever! haha.... oh well.

Allie -- did your acceptance come in a big or small envelope? just curious :)

Just got my acceptance for psych!!!! Woohoo!!!!! Good luck everyone! Oh, and I live in New Haven...I am shaking so mich that I can't type------aaaaahhhh!!!

It came in a regular business envelope and only had 2 pieces of paper in it. I haven't seen the actual letter yet, my husband opened it for me!

Seriously! I have to tell Boston College my decision by Friday 3/04, and (a) I'll be in NY visiting Columbia then; (b) I probably won't even have heard from Yale by then! Since Boston is 3 hours ahead of CA, even if the Yale letter comes Friday, chances are it won't be there before BC closes and needs my decision! Argggggggggg :uhoh3:

CONGRATS!!! Hopefully WilliamsRower and I will be joining you in the psych cohort! Did you apply for family or adult? Are there certain populations/disorders you would like to work with? I have been working in psychiatric research with patients diagnosed with schizophrenia for the past 5 years and am hoping to stay focused on this population.

So excited to meet all of you in September!

P.S. Is it weird that I've been wearing the Yale sweatshirt I bought during my interview EVERY DAY this week (don't worry I washed it :rolleyes:) at work to channel good energy - even as we speak...or type?! Haha.

Congratulations those of you that got in!! Lolamac - I'm in the midwest too. I'll be hoping to see your name pop up soon and I'll try not to drive too fast to get home. I am planning on tomorrow or Friday (as if that will help).
