Maybe we'll never find out... Ha. At this point, I'm just assuming it's gonna be late next week, otherwise I'm never gonna get away from the computer. Looks like I'm gonna have to finish my application essays for my back ups schools with a March 1st deadline after all. Nothing like spending $$ on application fees for schools you don't want to go to.

Well, at least we are all in this together! Some schools like UCSF send out their decisions in "installments" (not all at once), which leaves some people releived and other still on pins and needles. We have all spent so much time together on this forum that I bet we will know each other pretty darn well when we begin studying together in the Fall!

Hey Tanya!

Ya I did get in to Columbia. I haven't heard back about OHSU (even though some people have) or from JHU...so that's killer. I definitely agree that there are a lot of us from SD - at my Yale interview the first midwifery applicant I met was also from SD (we even volunteered for the same doula program).

I live in Mission Valley and work downtown :) I've only lived here for a year - I'm originally from CO. But, hopefully I'll be leaving for the East Coast this Summer!

Damn! I amlost had a freak out when I saw a message in my inbox with the word Yale in it... I forgot that way back when I had signed up to recieve newsletters from the Yale School of Management... stupid stupid.

I went to Yale undergrad and I have received like 12 emails in the last week from Yale: from the dean of Yale College about a new major, about lecture podcasts, about alumni donations... It's like someone's playing a really bad joke -- I've never gotten this many in a week before, and my heart jumps every time. I feel you!

I have been having trouble sleeping because of this! I can't believe they won't send out physical letters until next week - I might have to fly to New Haven today to pick mine up . My husband just found out he got into Yale (different grad program), so I am waiting both for a decision about school and about whether or not I have to live apart from him for the next year. It's driving me crazy!

Me too! I had a dream last night that I received a letter from Yale that said, "you have a 0% chance of being admitted." Ha. Here is to hoping for happier dreams and good news in the days to come J

haha yogaseli!! What a dream! Too funny. Well... my take is that... just because she said "letters will be mailed next week" doesn't mean that it has to be PHYSICALLY mailed! Some people say "mailed the next week" even when they mean emailed! I think we'll get an email. Call me crazy, but it doesn't make sense for them to switch now! Or maybe I'm just wishful thinking. :)

Too funny! I had a similar dream that I did get in, but then received a follow up letter of apology saying they'd made a mistake that I did not get in after all.

Last year's thread has them hearing two days after the decision day. Hopefully the same holds true this year.
