Yale GEPN Applicants 2011

It didn't look like there was a thread for 2011 Yale GEPN applicants. Since the application recently opened, I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is starting to work on their application.

Anyone else out there?

Are they really sending out acceptance notifcations via email? I thought it would come in letter form???

I have an interview in a few hours for Northeastern and a midterm, so at least that will keep my mind off things for the time being!

I looked on last year's forum and they FIRST got an email in like the afternoon that said "decisions will be mailed today" (that's just MEAN huh!?) and then people started getting their acceptances that evening starting at like 7pm-ish. So, maybe we will first get an email (HOPEFULLY TODAY!!) saying that our decisions will be mailed later!!!!

I just called the Office of Admissions to check on the notification process and was told they're sending letters (not emails) next week. Not sure what is the correct info: emails or letters? This week or next?

That's really weird -- I wonder why people have heard conflicting info. And if they told you today that they're sending info next week via snail mail....hmmmm! What a bummer! Well. I guess we'll see!

That's too funny. UCSF, the school that said they'll notify in April, started sending out the 1st of their (email) notifications today. What a backwards day :p

A total bummer. What an anticlimatic day. I don't understand why they would suddenly switch back to snail mail when they've been doing notifications via email the past few years. Maybe they will still email, but are sending out packets with fin aid info next week? At least that's what I am hoping for...

My mailman is going to think I have some serious issues when he finds me waiting for him at my mailbox everyday while refreshing my email on my phone over and over!
