Yale GEPN Applicants 2011

Published

It didn't look like there was a thread for 2011 Yale GEPN applicants. Since the application recently opened, I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is starting to work on their application.

Anyone else out there?

Last year's thread has them hearing two days after the decision day. Hopefully the same holds true this year.

we can hope! good luck everyoneeee..whenever we hear :)

Well I guess two days after means next mon? makes sense..shh weekend, I have never hated you more for being in the wayyy! = p

Everytime I check my email I can hear the cello from the beginning of the "Jaws" theme rolling faintly through my head. I suspect it will only grow louder by Monday! Argh!

My poor husband has the responsibility of checking the mailbox for me everyday this week and letting me know if anything from Yale arrives. Then I have to somehow make it through the rest of the workday to drive 30 minutes home and open it! Oh the anxiety! At least we should know this week!

Whoever talked to the Admissions office...did they happen to say they were mailing the letters on Monday, or just this week? I know I'm splitting hairs at this point, just trying to manage my stress level ;) Hope everyone had a good weekend!

So... it's Monday....... :-P

Soo, its finally monday! Any news?? Soo jittery of can't concentrate on anything else!

I have a bad feeling that those letters were not sent last week, and that they will be sent today -- meaning we may not hear anything untill later in the week...

Nothing yet...longest weekend EVER! For the first time since I can remember, I was wanting the weekend to just end already and have the work-week start back up!

i'm sure they're having entirely too much fun reading this forum to release the decisions :clown:

haha you're probably right! Columbia staff had some fun with us on the Columbia ETP thread while we awaited their decisions -- they posted (on allnurses!) two hilarious letters about why they had not sent out our decisions yet, one being a very in-depth letter about the surgery they needed to perform on their admissions iguana, whose name was Lola or something. During the surgery they were shocked to find out that Lola was actually a female iguana. bahaha! It's worth reading if you didn't apply and want to check out the Columbia thread =) Maybe a Yale representative can ease our fears with a humorous anecdote about what's taking so long! :)

I just emailed the admissions office and they said decision letters will go out in the mail today... ladies and gents we are almost there!

Wow. Thanks for reaching out to them. Can't believe they're doing hard copy letters! Ah well. For those of us on the West Coast, it's gonna be a long few days....
