Is it mandatory for all recent board passers to attend the oath taking ceremonies? would sanctions be imposed if one were not to attend?

We're kinda tight on the budget.:D

i dont think so.. i have a friend hu passed the local board lastyr and wasnt able to attend such ceremony. no sanctions or whatever was given to her. she just had a separate, "special" oathtaking in the PRC office after the scheduled ceremonies. But u NEED to take oath.

The biggest issue is that you must wait to get an actual license number issued for any application for the US. And for those of you that did not pass the exam, you cannot with hold it from an application or omit it, if asked if you ever took a licensing exam.

You are much better off not taking the exam to begin with if your goal is to work in the US. The amount of experience that you could get at home will not make any difference in the US.

hi suzanne.i passed the philippine board exam this june so that means i cant pass my application to take nclex in cali brn until i havent gotten my license?

so thats more delay in passing my application.

and another question.when asked in the application "have u ever applied for or taken an RN examination in another territory?" that this mean the states in u.s.a. or it means in another country as well? thank you

I think there is a part in the Cali application form asking you about having a license from your home country, if you are going to answer that part that you did pass the local board, I guess you have to present an evidence that you passed, for that matter, a photocopy of your license should be presented i think, so as to avoid delays in the processing of your papers. In my case, I chose to wait for my license before submitting my application.

A postponement of the oath taking of successful examinees was rejected by the PRC which declared that the supposed leakage had no glaring impact on the test.
