  1. Hi guys, My fiancee took and passed the June 06 NLE, she has registered for the license but the PRC has deferred in giving the actual license till Jan of 07. We are really itching to get the ball rolling...query, can she send in her applications to NY BON and CGFNS CVS without the license per se, with the license information to follow? or can she send it and state that she was never(technically speaking) licensed yet? Is this wise? or is it an act of frustration and desperation that might bring more trouble.sigh.....
  2. Hi guys! I just need some clarification....Regarding the Visascreen, Do I need to have a local license in order for me to apply for the Visascreen Certificate? Question b. under Non-Health care professionals on Section 15 ( Registration and License ) of the application asks " Have you ever been licensed in your Country of Education?" and my answer would be NO ( I really dont have any intention of taking the local NLE if possible), would this suffice? I know it looks and seems pretty obvious...but you cant be too sure about these things. Thanks!
  3. Hi Suzanne4! I feel like a dope.....Thanks for clearing that up!
  4. CGFNS CP...what a headache!...no wonder everyones avoiding it like the plague! I hope anyone out there can answer some queries of ours... 1.) The CP application form states that pre-nursing documentation should be included in the filing of the application....does this mean we have to send in copies of transcripts and diplomas from elementary(primary), high school(intermediate) to secondary(non nursing degree?) education? yikes. 2.) what do they exactly mean about secondary school education?? 3.) What is an external exam result? 4.) For questions that do not apply, do we leave them blank or answer them with an appropriate answer? 5.)Can we send the Credit Card payment form separate from the main application form?...Someone else will be paying for it and she's in the States so she has to sign the form and mail it herself. Is this possible? Truly alien stuff. Does CG have a helpdesk/website or something where seemingly inane questions like ours can be answered? Thats it for now people...but we're pretty sure more will pop out as we go along.sigh... Thanks for the help!
  5. Thanks Suzanne4! Yeah I guess it was pretty obvious huh? Anyways, She's gonna try her luck at the PRC....might as well. As what Lawrence said, There's no harm in trying. Thanks!
  6. Thanks for clearing that up Lawrence!:) You've just given needed hope to my friend! Unfortunately, to where she's headed, The CG CP is a must. Thanks for the advice!
  7. My friend had just recently passed the local NLEs, she is now considering taking the CGFNS CP exams....heres the rub, she still does not have her PRC nursing license...hence no license number...registration for the said license will only start on Aug 15 06. She is trying to beat the Aug 09 06 application deadline for the Nov 8 06 CP examinations. The question is...will CGFNS accept or entertain her application without a RN license number? "someone" "told" me that a certification from the PRC will suffice for the time being until a number is issued to her. I know the answer is kinda obvious but.....any insights or suggestions? Thanks!
  8. Is it mandatory for all recent board passers to attend the oath taking ceremonies? would sanctions be imposed if one were not to attend? We're kinda tight on the budget.
  9. Enough said! Thanks Suzanne4!
  10. Thanks for the reply kathykaye, Congratulations on the successes of your endeavors! Follow up query people: Would the absence of a local license affect my eligibility and/or employment? Would it be a plus if I did? or it wouldn't matter any which way? Wasn't aware of the very informative thread on ILL. great job guys, keep it coming.
  11. Greetings! What a great website! invaluable. Clarification please, anyone? Is ILL's CTNUR form a requirement for licensure application in said state? does this mean that I have to be a licensed, practicing RN from my country of origin in order for me to be eligible? Is it the same with NJ and practically all states? I'm a fresh BSN graduate from Manila and I really dont have any intentions of taking the local NLEs. Thanks in advance for the replies. Kudos to the people running this awesome joint!
