I am happy to report that I have survived my worst semester of Nursing School so far. I cried more in the past week from stress and exhaustion than I have cried in a long time. Then I cried tears of relief when I got my final grade for the semester. Now I'm going to sleep for three weeks before I start my LAST semester of school! Woohoo!!

You poor babies. If you hate nursing school so much, I am very concerned about your ability to cope with the real world of nursing practice. Just as much (if not more) stress & the stakes are so much higher.

I'm glad you got through it :) However, you might want to learn how to deal with your stress. Don't spend ALL of your time with school; you're going to get through it much easier if you make time for yourself. Burning out sucks and it just makes things harder and more miserable.

You cannot be serious right now. And you're a "Guide" for this site?
Congratulations on successfully completing a very difficult semester! You'll be an RN so soon and it will all be worth it!

Congratulations! You're very close. Take a nice break and try to do nothing school related for a while. :)
Thanks for being concerned but I can handle my stress. And I never said I hated nursing school. My job I have now is a high stress job and I cope just fine with it. It was the stress from a horrible (and extremely short) semester with a faculty change in the middle of the semester. Surely you cried a few times in nursing school.
I deal with my stress. It was just a rough semester. I work 40 plus hours a week and go to school. That would be stressful for anyone. Yes, I am burned out and that may make it more miserable, but I haven't met a nursing student yet who hasn't gotten burned out.
I too worked through nursing school...beyond full time. I'll take your condescending "concern" for my "real world of nursing" (working 1 job and having a life) over nursing school (3 classes a week, 3 clinicals a week, a paper a day, an exam every week, and working full time with a mortgage hanging over my head).
I unlike springchick1 DID hate nursing school, It sucked, I passed with honors and have moved on, as I am fully entitled to. Congrats springchick... there's more than light on the other side of the tunnel.

Congrats! I remember the last semester being the most stressful, oddly, just because SO much was riding on that last stretch.. Good luck!

Yay for you! I had a semester like that...a heavy course load + one of the clinical instructors was, shall we say, excruciatingly unpleasant + dealing with running back and forth to the hospital because my dad was gravely ill (which also led to issues with my daughter who has high-functioning autism) = super happy when that semester was over. So I totally get what you're saying! Sometimes life whacks you in the back of the knees...just gotta keep running
Good luck with your last semester!
