Why are so many people today shunning real medicine, vaccines etc for hoaxes and gimmicks like essential oils, weight loss powders, etc? Any ideas why so many are turning away from actual medicine?

Yeah, I was pondering troll vs. extreme naivete and after reviewing the content I'm going with troll.

Yeah I didn’t realize people actually practiced witchcraft anymore. I didn’t know I was referring to ACTUAL real life like... people. I don’t want to offend them. I’ve been looking it up today and it’s so cool. They do magic spells. And their outfits are SOO adorable even if it’s not like on Halloweentown. They have entire forums and many of them have Pinterests. I love it. Many of them still have kitty cats also!

I want a Thackery Binx of my own ?

Wait, people still believe in spells and cauldrons etc? I’m intrigued! I didn’t know that!

I don't think you know what a witch is! There are 2 practicing Wiccan's in my family - if you could get past your bias you'd probably like them as they are pretty awesome people - And no they don't cast spells or hover over bubbling cauldron's. Witches of old were often the only medical practitioners in a town or village - they fed the hungry, cared for the sick, even performed minor surgeries, honored nature and believed in the preservation of life. The fact that most of them were women in patriarchal societies is what caused all the negativity that surrounds them. Men in power did not like when people turned from The Church when their pleas to God didn't seem to work.

But I do get out my cauldron at least a couple of times a month and make a truly wicked soup that will cure just about any cold or virus you can throw at me.

Interesting that while you continue to hurl insults at people answering this and your other threads no one has yet insulted you directly - I have even admitted where I was wrong in this thread in a thoroughly civilized and grown up manner. We have questioned your knowledge base but we are curious where your ideas come from.

I can't understand half of what everyone is talking about. I can't even tell the good witches from the bad witches?

I’m just going off what I see online. It looks pretty fun. I want a dress like that.

Halloweentown, that’s my favorite movie

No there's a erudite, educated and thoughtful cinematic masterpiece (actually juvenile pulp for the masses - I hope you don't think Vampires sparkle in the sun.

Good witches only wear white or possibly blue and purple sprinkles like Glenda the good witch in Wizard of OZ. Bad witches have green skin and warts on their nose one dead eye and they often so I've heard have foul breath.

There are more things in heaven and Earth, Horatio, / Than are dreamt of in your philosophy [science]. (Hamlet 1.5. 167-8) Oops there I go reading again...……

Hppy

That’s scary. I don’t think there are really “good” vampires like there are good witches.

The ONLY good vampire story was the original book by Bram Stoker. All the others are pale imitations.
