Did anyone else get accepted into the Wilkes University PMHNP program? I got accepted into the post-MSN for Spring 2020. Got my acceptance letter today.

Yay!!! Great news ?I wasn’t expecting an admission decision this early either, I’m also very excited to start this journey!!! Are you going to pay out of pocket or use loans?

Yay!!!!!! Congratulations you guys!!!! I hope we can be good resources for others who need it, there's not a lot of people who talk about the actual program on here. Some of the ones I did find were like people asking to be PM'd for info (how does that help anyone else??)

Thank you so much!!! Yes, I totally agree with you, I hope we all three can be great resources as well. Because the information is VERY limited! Have you joined the 2019. FB group? I have joined and was able to find out about classes and ask come questions about the program. I believe we all will do GREAT!!! ???‍⚕️???

Are you all paying out of pocket or paying with loans? I want to pay out of pocket and save my loans for my PhD program I’ll do after.

Hi!

I just received my acceptance letter too! Looks like we are starting this journey together. I live in Arizona and I have been out of school for such a long time so I am a little nervous. It sounds like after we pay the $300 more information comes our way??? I am doing the bridge program, is anyone else doing that? (My BS is in Public Health). Hopefully we can keep posting info as we receive it! Congratulations everyone!

I tried joining but I don't think I was accepted? I'll have to check. I don't know how I'm paying yet, not sure what my options are. I'd rather do labs I don't want to pay out of pocket but will if I have to of course.

Yes, they sent me my Wilkes log in information for the school, but it's too early to be active (that came in the mail). Before it's active you need to receive your enrollment information. Nursing will put enrollment schedules together and send them to all those accepted....assuming you have paid the deposit. No idea when those will go out or how, whether it will be snail mail or email.

At least, that is what has been related to me. I'm doing the post msn program, but there's no reason why our info would be recieved differently I would think. Congratulations!

Thanks Msmedic68w! Ok, I'll be on the look-out for more information. I don't have FB but may need to get it so I can be in touch (though there are other great dedicated networks we could create---would anyone else be interested in something outside of FB?--Like Mighty Networks).

Nurseannblessings: I applied for loans and hope to hear back good news :)...by the way are you a NICU nurse too? (saw that we both have baby feet by our user name).

Hi all,

i have paid my deposit and am told I will get a packet in November regarding classes etc. i cant wait.

I am wondering for the MSN part, what the first classes are?

@kaylee I paid my deposit last Friday, and I also received the email in regards to receiving the information packet in November. I know patho and research will be the first two classes to take. I am very excited for patho! Research, no so much lol. You should join the FB group Wilkes PMHNP 2019, I was able to get a lot of information from there.

@dcabrera Congratulations to you as well!!! Did you apply for loans through the school? Or privately? Please keep me up to date on what you will receive and so forth so that way I can know if I need to consider that route. I am not a NICU nurse, however I have always wanted to be! I think those feet where defaulted by name. I am an Adult ICU nurse! ?

Hi everyone, I will also be starting at Wilkes in January on the RN to MSN track. Has anyone heard anything additional about the on campus portions? I have a trip planned the first week of the semester and want to book flights, but I need to make sure I do not have to be on campus that first week too. Excited to get started.
