Why would you wear low rise jeans....

I had cpr class last night. About 30% of the class wore low rise jeans. That meant everytime they had to bend over and practice cpr, I had to look at their butt cracks :no:. Its hard to look away because you constantly want to watch what their doing.... It drove me crazy!!!!!

So to those of you planning to take cpr class soon, please... please.... no low rise. ok. Great.

No kidding. I reckon that this idea of "is what I am wearing appropriate?" isn't even a blip on some people's radar. Also, one wonders about the impact this has on the reps of nurses in general. I haven't ever seen a doctor showing their crack, dark undies under scrubs, thongs sticking over their waistband etc.

Then again I haven't seen any doctors with six earrings in their ears, lip/tongue piercings and so on either.

I could go on and on.

I took my last CPR class with construction workers (through our local General contractors union). It was the last minute and I really needed the class so they let me in. I saw alot of crack in that class too. And it was mostly 30-50 year old men :).

haha that makes me laugh because I just noticed the same thing. I took my CPR class and all the girls were wearing really tight low pants, and low cut shirts. It was hard not to see the butt and the boobs when you're trying to pay attention.

Honestly though, that's probably all that a lot of people own. I know that a lot of people my age don't even own pants that aren't low rise.

It's getting hard to find cute jeans that are not low-rise. I have heard parents complain about this in clothing stores when shopping for their daughters.

I went to a training class a month ago and this young lady who was overweight managed to squeeze her LEGS ONLY into a pair of tight low-rise jeans.

That is disgusting. They shouldn't even make low rise jeans in sizes over size 4 or 6...

I wish you would have started this thread last Friday! I wore a low cut shirt to my BLS class and realized I was showing my cleavage to the entire room. What was I thinking? :chair:

I thank God everyday for my Gap Long and Lean jeans. They are mid rise and keep everything in its place. I will admit that it is hard to find jeans that aren't low rise but they are out there!

OMG thank you someone had to speak up about this disgusting epidemic.... I just recently went to jury duty and there were some girls who came in TIGHT jeans like those skinny jeans ...... they were my age 21 or maybe older . They looked completely unprofessional I had dressed up in casual business which was perfect I felt bad for these girls they just don't understand that other people have look at there a $$ crack or fat rolls ...... very sad.

I tried to buy some dress pants to teach in, there wern't any in the entire mall that reached the top of my hips. Okay, I'm 6 foot tall, the pants that are advertised as "talls" fit 5'8" to all of 5"11"!! This is why I buy my jeans in the mens department, and wear a belt to close the gap in the back.

I did find one pair of long jeans at Western Warehouse, went over the hips but not very far up the waist. And they only had one pair. AUGGHHH!!!

My duaghter has trouble finding tops that will reach down to her jeans, she likes the lower riding ones but doesn't want to advertise anything. Most of the tops they sell for teens are as short up top as the jeans are low.:angryfire

my mom was 6 feet tall and had legs like julia roberts and her solution was men's pants and jeans, which she then took to a tailor, who took them in by removing v -shaped piece of fabric and shaping what was left back together and sewing it up. does my explanation make sense at all? i do lots of craft sewing but my junior high sewing experience was such a bomb that i've never done it again. there were two darts where the fabric came out. you would never have known they had been altered. many dry cleaners have tailors on staff.
