There is a current thread entitled Things that annoy me on allnurses. Members have been pretty vocal on that thread. We really are interested in your feedback. You are why we are here. You are what has helped to make the site what it is today.
We are always striving to find out more about our membership.......who you are, how you got here, why you stayed, what you want, what you like. We want to provide features and opportunities that are of interest to you. With such a large membership, we know we can't please everyone all the time But we want to provide a place that has something for most of you....and that takes a lot of different types of things.
We hope that even though you may not like some of the things we offer, some of the new things we have tried or will be trying, you will be supportive. Let us know what you like and what you don't like. But please be respectful in your communications.
To help us as we consider things in the future, please take a few minutes to answer a few questions.

1. Why did you come to allnurses?
To vent, the decompress with other people who understand what I'm talking about
2. Why did you stay at allnurses?
Hmm.. interesting. Probably because I established respect for some of the other members
3. How long have you been a member?
1/2011: so 5 years
4. What do you enjoy the most about allnurses? Features etc.

1. Why did you come to all nurses? I wanted to attend nursing school and while waiting I googled to see if I could find anything to assist me in pre studying and to see what it was like. I have to work while going to school so I also wanted to see how others manage.
2. Why did you stay at all nurses? As a student I always have questions and keep looking to the experience of others. Sometimes my questions may be off but I'd rather be off here than in class. I find useful tips on how to study and useful resources.
3. How long have you been a member? I have just recently joined though I have been lurking for about 1 year.
4. What do you enjoy the most about allnurses? Features etc I am still learning the site but I like to see many different threads under students.
5. What would you like for us to change or add to all nurses? Since I am still a beginner I am unsure but I do like to see study tip, resources and just general guidance while I am working my way thru school . And of course hopefully when I am finished I will be well prepared for the NCLEX
1. Why did you come to allnurses?
A nurse friend of mine encouraged me to do so. She suggested I might be a valuable resource to nurses and by "stalking" the conversations, I could better understand those I serve.
2. Why did you stay at allnurses?
I realized I could learn so much about the world of nursing and thus become a better BLS instructor. I hate instructors who simply throw out a curriculum and can't empathize with the students. I wanna learn.
3. How long have you been a member?
I just joined in July, 2016
4. What do you enjoy the most about allnurses? Features etc
While I haven't been a member long enough to really know what all is going on, I love the fact that it's real people talking about real issues, good or bad.
5. What would you like for us to change or add to allnurses?
Not sure yet, but from my perspective, I can only observe and gain a new respect for nurses.
I was doing research on study tips for nursing school and allnurses came up. I stayed because of the strong nursing content and I think it's an awesome community where nurses can support each other. Aspiring nurses such as myself can also gain a lot of insight into the field. Reading all of the different stories from other nurses is something I enjoy. This forum was such a brilliant idea!

I started coming here, I think about 2002? I was looking for a good nursing discussion web site, was a semester away from graduating... And lo and behold :)....
I stayed because... Well truthfully, I have "come and gone" over the years, depending a bit on where I was in my nursing career. I have gone a year or more without so much as entering the website. There have been times when I've been just downright disgusted with the nursing profession, and I would either stay away from this place, or come here to vent once and then go away for a while. Then there have been times when things are going better, when I would come around here and stay awhile. Right now, I've got an amazing job, working in a hospital, of all places!! 😜
What I would change about allnurses... More opportunities for users to become Guides. I feel like it's either some sort of popularity contest here, or I would have to post on every single thread in this place... I feel like with my experience, I would make a great Guide. I used to belong to a discussion board, in which users simply had to take a test to become a Guide, plus perhaps be a user for at least a year.
What I love? Simply the huge variety of different forums to choose from, and the opportunity to answer questions of new nurses.
I came here looking for support on a legal issue I am having and for support.in general as a nurse. I have been a member for a few months. I have stayed because I LOVE "talking" to other nurses and enjoy hearing that I am.mot alone in what I experience as a nurse. I am also very impressed with all the information available in the links you offer.
I would like a way to find topics that Inhave already viewed. Sometimes it is hard to pick up where I left off.
Otherwise, I LIVE LOVE LOVE this site.

Probably will never visit site anymore since response to drug thefts was "who are we to judge?" I'll keep looking for a site that maybe deals /c bigger issues than "what I'd like to say back to my patient"!
