Who's waiting for their letter from Jeff State ???

OK....the wait is killing me:uhoh3: So I thought I would start a thread to see just how many people are waiting like me. If you have heard anything like when we might hear something let us know.

I know I emailed Tiffany 10 days ago to see when they were going to start seeing walk-in students again. I thought that might help in deciding how much longer it would be until we found out. As of today, I still have not received an email back from her. I leave on a 12 day trip at the end of next week & I was REALLY hoping to know by then........................

I assume the nursing advisors prob took a vacation after getting their part done! I know I would have! Hopefully we will know before you leave!

Kaaz-do you mind sharing the links to the games??

howsoon- I hope you do hear before you leave...I'm jealous, I want to go on a long vacation! I hope you are heading somewhere tropical...

I dont mind! I have to find them again - should be easy though. The only one I played was a matching game - sorta lame - but it was a good refresher! Let me take a look and will post in a few!

I'm ready for a new topic...I'm tired of waiting! I'vebeen thinking about other options if I don't get in. I'm 37 so I feel like even a 6 month delay is wasting precious time for me! I want to be an OR nurse and the curriculum doesn't look like it covers much perioperative stuff. I have been observing in several OR's at different hospitals and it makes me anxious to get started. I don't have a backup plan if I don't get into Jeff State...I wonder if all programs at JR. schools are like this...

FYI.... in second semester you will do a rotation in the OR. You will also have a test on surgery. It was one of our hardest tests so far. Second semester is Med Surg.

Im tellen yall you will hear in July. Best of Luck.

TC's vm is still the same but KJ's vm says that RN letters will go out the last week of June/1st week of July. UGGGGH!!!!!

Yeah, nursing dept told a friend today that it would be end of next week. Heres to hoping its mid week! LOL

I have applied to learn to scrub in the OR...do you think this would have helped you since you said it was difficult??

There is ALOT more to OR than just scrubing!!!!!!

I am just so excited and scrubbing is a way I can start learning about the OR. I understand there is alot more and many different roles but a scrub is a position that the hospital will train you to do while you are in school and I was hoping that I would learn by observing while I was there. What hospital did you do your clinicals at? By the way, I keep reading about the HESI...does Jeff State use it??
