Who's waiting for their letter from Jeff State ???

How long into the first semester before you start clinicals? Also, how much time do clinicals and lab take up? The schedule shows them on Thursday and Friday, is one of them one day and the other the next or how does that work?

Clinicals start in Nov. Be for warned you will be in class every day either class or clinicals or validations. Clinicals are from 6:30 till 1-2 with NO LUNCH break! You will either have it on Thrusday or Friday. Once you get into second semester then you go to pre clinicials which means you go the day before usually between the hrs of 1-3 most often after your class to meet your patient do head to toe exam an look at chart and start your paper work which will be due the next morning( 6:30am). By fourth semester you will have clinicals twice a week not sure about the pre clinicals may just be two full days at the hospital. The last semester you just live at the hospiatl and school. You will be doing 12 hr shifts plus classes ( 2) plus clinical time.

Plan that every semester they can make you come to class the first two weeks when they want you to regardless of what the schedule says, that was the biggest shocker for me. I have 3 kids so child care can be hard for me. I just plan for my mom to have the kids the first two weeks now and Im good.

Nothing in the mail here either. I am thinking we'll be lucky if they got out Mon or Tues. I emailed advising again & asked how many people applied to the part time program hoping that he would say "letters are going out today" but no such luck.

Yeah, nursing dept told a friend today that it would be end of next week. Heres to hoping its mid week! LOL

Totally stalked my mailman today & NOTHING!!!!! As I'm sure no one was at the school yesterday, that means there's no way we'll get them Monday either. I think I'm losing my mind!!!!

Talked to advisor about 10 minutes ago - she said letters are to go out by tomorrow afternoon. But they are still working on cut points???? Oh well - here is to knowing by the end of this week!!

What? That makes no sense! Do you think they are suppose to say they don't know what the cut line is until after letters go out? I sure hope they go out tomorrow!!!!

Yeah really! I hope they get to our mailboxes by Thursday because we already know mail will not be running on Friday. (sigh)

so, i emailed advising late last night asking them if letters would be mailed out today & if there was any word on the cut pts? this is what i got at 6:50am:

no, still no word. they are deciding if they are going to lower the point

total and let more in or keep the same number of people with a higher point

total.

this worries me as it must mean the point line was pretty high if they are considering lowering it! i'm so ready to know either way. has anyone else heard anything about letters going out today?

I havent tried today but yesterday advisor told me that this afternoon they would go out, but they didnt know a point cut off yet - you could try calling her. ( I would - but I called yesterday and I hate to hound as much as this is making me crazy!) That was K. Johnson at Jeff campus. If you do, ask about part time too!!
