Who's waiting for their letter from Jeff State ???

OK....the wait is killing me:uhoh3: So I thought I would start a thread to see just how many people are waiting like me. If you have heard anything like when we might hear something let us know.

I just spoke to a general adviser at Shelby campus. He said the advisers had finished up there part of the app's (whatever that is) and had sent them on to the dean where the point cut off will be determined. He said they had 500 something...507 I think, applications for all three programs. He said their goal was to have answers by the end of June.

yeah thats the same I emailed and got a few days ago. Jeez thats 2 more weeks. I am going to need some xanax! LOL

I emailed general advising yesterday and still got the same reply as before. (Sigh) This is taking forever! I am in a hurry to find out I made it - but I reckon I am in a hurry to find out that I didn't, too! LOL I guess I just hate being in the dark either way.

What happens if there are more than 50 applicants who are pretty much the same as far as points are concerned? I guess it's really 100 with the Jefferson campus but with 507 applicants....One day when I was talking to Tiffany she told me she had just met with an applicant who had 139 points so I wonder how many of the applications are like that...

my guess is that they will weed people out by GPA

Has anyone heard what the cut off will be for the points?

this is the reply i got from the nursing advisor at the bham campus yesterday:

we do not know the cut off score yet, we are waiting for nursing dept to contact us with this information.

we hope to send letters by end of june.

I was curious about that too---what they do if they have 50 slots and 50 people have the same points. I have ask advisor's and the director and never got a straight answer. I as well assume that is when GPA comes in. I was told that they cannot count my BA degree in the computer because they do not have a place in their system to fill in those higher level classes but that when the advisor's access my app, they will count my BA degree for GPA. I sure hope this is true!!!

Just emailed general advising...same answer, they are waiting for answer from Dean regarding the cut off and plan to have answers by the end of June.

I had hoped we would hear something this week. It's been 5 weeks since we turned in applications and that's how long it took last summer. The waiting really sucks.

Has anyone looked into the medical terminology textbook?

The waiting does sux! I havent gotten a book - because if I dont get in I have to wait another year - so I googled some medical term games online. Ive found I recall most all (the ones they have on there) from A&P I. I had hoped this week too.
