Who's waiting for their letter from Jeff State ???

OK....the wait is killing me:uhoh3: So I thought I would start a thread to see just how many people are waiting like me. If you have heard anything like when we might hear something let us know.

I emailed just the advising desk. I was afraid to pester the Nursing advisor! LOL If you find out let me know! I did email back tonight to see if who replied to me knew the cutoff. If I find out I will post it.

I just found the site today and I am so excited to get the good info....Other post I read were bashing Jeff State and that is a little discouraging to hear... I have applied for full time days with Shelby as my first choice. I was wonder...suppose they have more than 50 applicants with high scores etc... I read on here that 509 applied. Yikes! I think that is amazing considering there are 50 spots at each campus...does that include part-time as well? I had 189 points, with a 99 on the compass and a GPA of 4.0 but with that many applicants I worry not having more points!

Has anyone found out which edition of the Exploring Med term we should be studying???

:yeah:Hey Hills. The new info sounds GREAT!!! I have a little question for you? I think I might have figured my points wrong. Have you finished all your pre-req stuff up. With a perfect score on the compass and a 4.0 wouldn't that make you 200 points? Just wondering. :)

well, basically the same info but i emailed the advising desk this morning also & here is the response i got:

the nursing department and the dean are in the process of setting the cut line and for the applications. we have not been given a number yet. the part time program will not have the same cut line as the full time program

so, no real clue as to points or when letters will go out..........

Someone just asked about the point system. I have the breakdown in front of me. There are 3 sections for which you can receive points.

I. (Take your best grade from each category)

A. Bio 103, Bio 201, Bio 202, High School Biology

I wonder how long this part of the process will take?!?! I also wonder if they would tell us a number, when they get one, if it is before the letters go out.

Section I. Total possible points = 90

Choose your best grade from each

A = 30 pts, B = 20 pts, C = 10 pts

1. Bio 103, Bio 201, Bio 202, Bio 220, High School Biology

2. Bio 103, Bio 201, Bio 202, Bio 220, Mth 100 or higher, High School

Algebra II

3. Bio 103, Bio 201, Bio 202, Bio 220, College Chemistry, High School

Chemistry

Section II. Total points possible 11.

Mth 100 or Higher: A or B = 11 pts, C = 5 pts

Mth 116: A= 11pts, B = 5 pts, C = 0 pts

Section III. Total points possible is 99.

Here you use your Compass Score.

Total Possible points is 200.

I'm wondering the exact same thing. Are we looking at another week or another 3 weeks? Also, it would really shock me for them to release the cut-off before letters went out but who knows?
