I'm supposed to hear about getting into the program or not by the beginning or March. Who else is waiting on their acceptance letter to get into their nursing program?
I am only taking a couple of pre-req's that I need while I am waiting. I am taking Sociology, Psychology, and Biology (since I haven't taken it since High School and that was almost 8 years ago!)
Just wanted to connect with some other people who are waiting. :)
I'm waiting too for my accepatance letter!! I have to wait till I take the NET on Feb 3 for one of the schools that I applied too. I really want to get accepted in my hometown NYC. Until then I will just be working and taking my last pre-req for the nursing Accelerated BSN program. Good luck to all of you and I hope you get in to the school of your choice.:pumpiron:
It's kinda weird. My school doesn't have an entrance exam or anything. You have to have a C average in all of the classes you have taken that are part of the ADN program. They base admittance on that and you get a better chance of getting in if you were one of the first to apply and list ADN as your major. You have to take a CPR class and a couple of other things but there's no test except the COMPASS should hear.
I am kind of waiting too. I already got an acceptance letter for the first school I applied at, but the second school (which is probably where I'll go) doesn't review apps. until Feb. 15th. I was really anxious for that first letter, but now that I know I am definately going somewhere I am not so worried about the next letter. It is a much more relaxed feeling. I will anxiously wait with all of you though, I hope you get in!
I got mine on Saturday. I took the compass test on January 9, 2007. I passed, thank the good Lord above. I got my acceptance letter on Saturday. I am so ready to start. I have waited to start my career now that my kids are grown. Both of them are in college now also. I decided now was my chance to achieve my dream because I am not getting any younger.
I just got wind that our program takes 40 people in the fall. I am a little worried about my chances of getting in. Also realized I do not have a record of my immunizations and cannot seem to find anyone who has a copy so I will have to retake the applicable ones! BOOOOO!
Out of curiosity... to which school did you apply?

I applied about 3 months ago, but our applications aren't due until March 15 for a May start. They only look at GPA, so it doesn't take long to process the aps. Hopefully we'll hear by the end of March...
