Who's waiting on acceptance letters?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I'm supposed to hear about getting into the program or not by the beginning or March. Who else is waiting on their acceptance letter to get into their nursing program?

I am only taking a couple of pre-req's that I need while I am waiting. I am taking Sociology, Psychology, and Biology (since I haven't taken it since High School and that was almost 8 years ago!)

Just wanted to connect with some other people who are waiting. :)

Let me know when you apply. I will keep them crossed. :)

Keep your fingers crossed for me ;)

I'm still waiting for Texas Christian U and Texas Women's U, (for regular BSN) and the wainting is really stressing me out! I should be hearing from them any day now. If I don't get in for the FAll, I don't know what I'll do since I am finishing all my other classes required to graduate with BSN.

I applied to Nassau Community College Registered Nurses program with a 3.42 gpa in all the required courses the first day the applications came out. I previously applied to the Respiratory Therapy program, and was accepted. I received an "B+" in Anatomy Physiology I, "A" in Anatomy Physiology II, "A" in Microbiology, "B" in College Algebra, "C+" in English, "A" in English Literature, "B+" in Sociology, "B+" Intro to Psychology, "B+" in Child Psychology and C+ in Spanish. I am waiting for the letter in April. I hope I get accepted.

I'm waiting on a letter from Galen any day now to start classes in August....seems like forever when you wait, it's driving me nuts!!

Hey Minnesota!

Congrats on getting in to nursing school. In my former life I lived in the pretty much the same area as No. Hennepin, so recognized the school name immediately. Now, in this life I'm pursuing a nursing education at the same time as you. However, a few years ago I moved to the SW part of the state...so Worthington is where I'm doing the program to RN (which also starts in August). Congratulations to you again and work hard (I hear the first year to LPN is a dilly!) :balloons: Oh, and we have orientation already this month, so get to meet my classmates soon.

I got my letter today for North Harris College, I am so excited!!!!! I am posting everywhere on this board about it because I have nobiody here at home to tell, and nobody I know is answering their phones!!!! I am so HAPPY!

I find out this week if I got accepted or not. The deadline was March 15. I have been nervous about it since I turned in my Application.

I also should find out this week for one of my schools. In fact the preadmissions counselor got my name and cell number because she wanted to call me directly when they make a decision... I just hope it is a positive one!!!

Congrats to you too Texas Star! I have to tell you that since I got my acceptance letter, the people I've shared it with, have each told me of at least one other person that they know, that didn't get accepted this round. I go into school today and plan to ask just what the acceptance rate was...it has me curious. And, one of the kids at work...a honors student who is graduating HS this year didn't get accepted. However, her PSB results weren't good, and when she called the school to ask about the "we regret to inform you letter", she was told that if she does well next year-her 1st year of college, with her pre-req and generals, that most likely she'll be accepted into the program for the following year. So, her response when I told her that is exactly what I was thinking...? She told me that she was a little distressed because by the time she gets her RN, she'll have nearly four years of college done. I drove home thinking..."exactly, most RNs have at least that many years of post secondary." I think getting into any nursing school straight out of HS has to be a rare thing. Not impossible, but rare at least. IMHO, probably a good thing for the profession too, in many ways. Or, am I being lame here?

Didn't mean to go off on you about this TX Star...just thinking out loud is all. LOL

Congrats again...we can do our happy dances in a group now! :monkeydance:
