After today is done, I have 8 more days till school is done. Trying to catch up on some documenting and organizing my office for next year. Curious, do you undo your entire office for maintenance crews to clean during summer?

I am here!! Today is my first day back after back surgery on May 5.

Finals are June 19-21. Rumor has it teaachers are here until Friday June 23, but some are saying teachers are done on June 22. This is a tightly guarded secret in our school for some reason, which makes planning for summer stuff, like, oh say the CAMP where I am working, a challenge.

We had 12 snow days this year. Staff is suppose to be here until the 27th. However, that is not happening for me. I am out on the 22nd, plus I only work 3 days a week. I have 8 work days left over the next 2 and half weeks! Can't wait! My 11 year old son is out on Friday and I am jealous!

My kids are here until Friday, our last day is Monday. Not a whole lot of time to get end of the year stuff done so I am scurrying around this week trying to finish everything!! I leave my office as is, there is summer school here each year so the office needs to be nurse-ready.

I have to say I'm jealous for those of you who have days/weeks without kids. I'm assuming you're in upper level schools where there is testing but only kids with a test report for that time. I could so use that time to get my office organized, finish my paperwork and get situated for the next school year. We have kids right up until the last day and I'm always scattered right up until they leave.

Oh my heavens....I was just sent a student complaining of discomfort with his left pinky because a stuffed animal hit it. What has this world come too?! And it was the guidance counselor who sent him. I'm done! 7 more days, 7 more days!!!!!!

I am also crumbling under the pressure. It's like the whole school is trying not to be strict anymore so they will just send anyone here who asks, but we have end-of-year work to do, too! Today's prizes go to all the students with old mosquito bites and the one who c/o joint pain after sitting through the end of year celebration assembly! :lurking:

Yup, it is getting ridiculous. So much end of the year paperwork and not a spare moment due to the minutia visits… plus today we had 14 subs in the building and you know what that means. We have added bad weather days too :( Have to go through the 27th… Sorry I sound so grumpy

In unrelated news, as some of you may know I am leaving my school at the end of this year. Mr Tomato and I are moving since he got a promotion and I will not be working in a school once we do. I do, however, have 3 job interviews lined up for the weeks after school ends!
