I truly dislike the term "murse".
We are nurses. Registered Nurses.

Love the idea of a "Murse day." Only had one shift where the entire nursing staff was male and I warned the oncoming shift that we spent the night raising the toilet seats.

we have a sticky on our fridge since JB's friends like to give him lip about being a nurse. it was in a nursing calendar we got a couple years ago and he liked it so he kept it.
it says:
"don't call me a murse. it's nurse with a member, please."

HAHAHAHAHA murse!
Hey brotha!!
Yeah i heard of murses! but here in our school we refer them to 'the world without nurses- your left with murses i.e. medical doctors that have to be nurses as well'
as for sister! lol i been using sister to girls lately but I always have its not until i came into nursing it was used more often...which is wierd..but i dunno it probably had something to do with past nurses or something!
Male nurses = great CPR! lol

Well I am just starting down on this road.
I don't think it will bother me too much telling people
that I am a male nurse. I am coming from a field that
is 99% male dominated

I have seen that term used (on a reality show no less) to refer to a "male purse", a handbag similar to a small backpack or that metrosexual men use to carry around their toiletries and stuff. I prefer nurse, 'nuff said. Imagine the uproar women physicians would have if we walked around calling them "foctors" ... hmph!

"Murse" is really quite a lovely term, if you just consider the possibilites. Allow me to illucidate you:
E-Murse: It's how you get into baptised into the Baptist Church.
Sub-Murse-d: Now your deep in thought.
Murse-a-dees: Even cooler than a Volvo.
Hey! You could add an "a" to the end, and "presto!" you think about something that reminds you to wash your hands!
And you thought a murse was a murse!
Have murse-y!!! Oh, you KNEW that was coming, didn't cha!?
