white underwear under white scrub bottoms?

Published

Hi!

I'm starting nursing school in august, and for clinicals we can't wear thongs or bikini style underwear!! Ah!! I feel like I have no options, and yes, they have to be white so that rules out flesh-colored underwear. Any suggestions? My white bottoms are basically see-through which is why I always wore thongs in the past, but those days are long over. What kind is your favorite to wear?

Thanks! :)

Okay, I just read it again and it says "cannot be visible" and then on a different page it says white under garments. Who knows. I'm not sure if they will physically check, but I heard a girl from a different school say that actually checked!

My Lord, they are dictating panties now. ( I understand for modesty though. I'm sure you would have some roll up in clinicals with polka dot pink thongs w/ the white scrubs.)

I second the boy cut whities.

I start clinicals in the fall. I would like to thank God right now, our scrub bottoms are maroon.

Well in the past I've always made sure you couldn't see my thong through my underwear and in the winter I did wear leggings underneath. It got hot sometimes, but that was only when the patients room was 95 degrees (I did CNA clinicals in a nursing home)! Lucky for you that you get maroon! And good luck in clinicals!! :)

Don't wear white under white! Nude/flesh color only. Everything else will show through. Bring a spare pair of white ones just in case you have some psycho inspecting your undies (I doubt that can or will ever happen). And why the heck can't you wear bikini style?? Who is gonna know? Do ya'll have to strip down for inspection before clinicals or what? Such bizarre rules...

Hahahaha. I totally agree with you! Good idea for bringing underwear:) and I have no idea why you can't wear bikini style!!!

When I was in school, they made a point to say only white, nude or black undies for the African American students.. The hint being, some students did wear red undies with white uniforms.. yep yep, very visible.. Thongs were not allowed mainly because when you bend over the tops are visible.. All other "styles" were allowed..

I personally do the nude colored, you can't see them under my uniform.. I also have nude bra's.. All you see is my uniform :)

Funny, I just realized that I don't have one single white uniform! Thank good too 'cause white sucks to keep clean!

OMG! I would literally have to buy all new panties! lol Thank god my school has dark blue bottoms and white tops. I would wear the nude colored or go buy white spanky shorts that they wear under cheer uniforms. Thats what I do when I go out in a tiny dress or skirt. At work I always wear thongs under my scrubs, hate seeing the other nurses with panty lines...no thanks lol. Or just get the leggings but the really thin kind that stop at the knee. Good luck hun this sounds awfull!=(

If you wear nude colored underwear, and they are not visible, I can't see them "checking" you. I would tell them that it's an invasion of privacy, anyway.......as long as you're not wearing something that they can see through your pants, it's overstepping on their part to go further than that.

Does it specifically say that you HAVE to wear underwear? Commando anyone? ;)

What if you are dark-skinned?

White??

Flesh-colored, pulllease!

I can get away with white as I have thicker white pants and I am a very pale-skinned person... but I can only imagine a poor dark-skinned person in white!!

With white? I'd probably go with a dark plaid or maybe even Transformers characters.
