Does anyone know if the 'pearl' colored Crocs are 'white' enough to be white uniform shoes? I looked at a pair last week and they seem gray. I'll be starting my clinicals in September and don't want to start off on the wrong foot, so to speak. Allheart has some similar type shoes ('ComfortClogs', super cheap, too), but they don't have a back strap, which I'm thinking some hospitals may require. Thanks!
I know some students who wear the pearl with a white uniform. They look to0 gray for me though. I wish Croc's made white!
I swear I came across a pair of white Crocs in a nursing catalog. I wish I remembered which one so I could tell you.
I wear the pearl ones and I think they look more khaki than gray, but if you are going to be wearing white uniforms it will be noticeable that your shoes aren't white. Google "white Crocs" and see what you get.
I have 2 pair of Comfort Clogs with the inserts. I wear them for work. I will not be wearing them for clinicals. I do like my clogs, but they do not give me the support I need and I have a few more aches and pains after a 12 hour shift. I would not recommend Crocs with holes...would not like throw-up, urine, poo, and other treats on my foot which has happened to some of my coworkers. Said coworkers now wear Crocs without holes or tennis shoes. Check the hospital's policy before forking out for shoes that then you won't be able to wear. I believe in functional, supportive and practical, but hey, I'm well on my way to aged...like wine or cheese. :monkeydance:
I have the ones with holes, been wearing them for a year, and I have never gotten anyone's body fluids on them. Maybe luck?

Yes...I would say luck...or you can two-step faster than my coworkers can! We work in Med/Surg and it can be very, very messy at times.
Beary will not have holes...Beary is scared...Beary's tootsies are scared!
At the hospital where I work, Clogs were allowed but I can not remember if Crocs were allowed. I have seen white Crocs in many places, but as I said in another post, I do not know if they would offer enough support for my feet.
Just my .
Oh, before I forget, the good thing about Clogs is that you can just run them in the tube to clean them. I think that's what I remember... do not take my word for this. :)

Even though I'm not a RN yet (dental hygienist starting nursing school in '08), I own three pairs of the Italian comfort clogs with the inserts, and they are VERY comfy! They can make your feet sweat a little, but not too bad.

I love that they're comfy and cheap, so I can have different colors to match my scrubs. :)
