I have that one as well. Got it for Christmas in 2002. I'd hate to have seen the price of it.

I currently have Dorlands, but will have to upgrade next semester. They want us to use Mosby's

I have Taber's and love it. It also comes with a three month free membership to their website where you can print out all kinds of information. I am sure that I will be joining the website when my three months is up!

I was told to get Mosby's and I like it but I've never seen tabers

I still have my dogeared well used Taber's I bought in 1987 for my LPN program. I keep meaning to buy a new edition, but my old one has never let me down....

Specializes in Emergency Dept, M/S.

I have that one also, Fatima.

I had to get Taber's for my nursing classes. I have the book version, but also purchased the PDA version. I can't tell you how often not only *I* have referred to it, but everyone in my clinical makes use of it also. Even my instructor borrows my PDA - she didn't know they had software programs! She thought they were all glorified address books and appt calendars. :chuckle

Specializes in ICU.

I have a Mosby's, but the Tabers seems very useful too. Does it have pictures though? The Mosby's has a lot of really good and graphic pictures for so many different things, I really like it.

I love the website, too! Taber's is definitely my preference between the two.

I bought it for $39.95 at my college bookstore. So it wasn't too bad.

We are required to have Tabers, but I have both.... and find that what one may not explain in layman's terms, the other does. That's my recommendation. You can even get the paperback Mosby's for, I think, under $10.00. Just a thought. :)
