Which Medical Dictionary...

should i get for my classes... they have 2 that they want us to choose from but what's the difference? do any of you have either one or know of both, any direction would be greatly appreciated!!! they want us to have either Mosby's Medical Dictionary 6th edition or the Tabers Cyclopedia medical dictionary...

so what is it which one do ytou have or prefer thanks!

My school also recommended both. I have both. I started out with Taber's and really liked it. However, I now use Mosby's more. The difference to me is that Mosby's has a lot more pictures in it and the pictures help me to visualize the process better. Not only that, in my opinion, Mobey's gives a lot more information on the disease itself, the pathology, action, signs and symptons, treatment, and patient teaching. Taber's does a very good job with explaining but it just seems as though Mosby's has a lot more to offer. They both are good dictionary's and I would recommend either to anyone.

Taber's all the way. I have the book and on my PDA for reference.
