Which is better reveiw center for nclex: Kaplan or Pentagon?

Published

hi, i really need your advice. I'm planning to attend review center next month for nclex. but the problem is i'm still at a crossroad which is a better review center to choose for nclex: kaplan or pentagon? i need some insights for those who had a first-hand experience to attend in these review centers. which among the two can you recommend? thanks a lot!:nuke:

In my opinion there is no such thing as "the best review center". It all depends on the person whether he/she has the right study habits & how hard he/she studies.

How much does it cost to attend these review centers?

How many days or hours is the class?

No reason that you need to use either of those or any other review centerr that is in your country. Most of the instructors that are there have never worked in the US in the first place. You can do just as well on your own.

Suggest that you have a look at the NCLEX Forum that we have under the student tab on Allnurses.com

Just adding to Suzanne's comments... Most of them hasn't even taken or if did, did not pass the NCLEX as well. Some may have experience teaching but what good is that if one never took NCLEX or passed it.

I have tried Kaplan. It's a good review center. They have the traditional approach in reviewing. Godbless on your exam.

Just to add up to the post above, Review centers may guide you, suggest good test taking strat, etc., but no matter what review center you attend, it is still up to you if you'll pass or fail. Dont depend on them!

And its not good to compare especially in here. It would be bias for those who attended pentagon or kaplan. There are also those who attended kaplan and failed attended pentagon and also failed. There are people who attended those not so familiar review centers and passed! We can't say they're the best, because the best way to pass the exam is your own work.

How many days is this review?

What was the cost?

What area of the PI is this located?

Thank you for all your responses. Although you have different insights, it gave me a clear direction that it doesn't matter how popular the review center or not as long as you devote your time in passing nclex, then nothing is impossible.:wink2:

i'm doing kaplan right now... i'm starting on my second month. You have 3 months to do the laboratory, and then a month of live lecture... There are a few Kaplan branches in the Philippines. I think there's one in Quezon City, Cebu, and Iloilo City. It's roughly estimated to be $550 worth in Philippine pesos. Some people might not want to do the Kaplan review. I could placed it under the self-review category. you're gonna be studying at your own pace. it doesn't require you to finish a number of pages in a day... and! it's totally up to you what time you're going to attend Kaplan. This might not be for those who requires much prodding to start studying those kaplan books they're gonna give you. But remember, think about the money you paid!~

And if you take the International NCLEX Review program thru Kaplan and you do not pass the exam, they do not refund your money as they do in the US for American trained students.

good afternoon:) nurses..hmmmmm we have the same prob. now.. hehe

but they are all correct, we think twice now if kaplan or pentagon, its depends on us..u can try to check all aspect... all we need to do is to choose coz wer the one to do our career and moves...just follow ur heart and godbless us:)

u can do it...
