Where do you purchase your scrubs???

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Hi - I know that this isn't exactly related to life as a CNA, but I'm very, VERY new to all of this. I was wondering where you buy your scrubs? Like, we have a store that sells scrubs in our local mall & they are SO EXPENSIVE! I've read that several people purchase their's through allheart.com & I was wondering if any of you order through Jasco Uniform Co.? Also, how do I know what kind of stethescope I need to get? & which kind of shoes are the best to wear? I thought this would be a good place to get some of these questions answered. I hope you don't mind me posting here...

Thanks so much!

I buy most of my scrubs from Life Uniform. I have also bought from allheart.com and tried to buy from jasco.com but I won't go back to jasco again.

I prefer Life Uniform because it seems that manufacturers don't all follow the same size chart so I have some bottoms that are smalls and some medium. Same with the tops. I have some small, some medium.

As far as the stethoscope goes, I wouldn't spend a lot on it. I bought one for $30. The extent of its use has been to practice taking blood pressure. I never once used it in clinicals because it is all automated there (they call it robonurse).

a.j wright sells scrubs at a very low cost, some cute ones too!!!:yeah:

www.allheart.com

or walmart :)

I use allheart.com too.

I live in Canada (Ontario) where there are not a lot of uniform retailers. I found Scruberry which ships their products within Canada which saves me a loootttt of money instead of it coming from the U.S. Prices are cheaper than wal-mart too (unless wal-mart has a clearance of course..hehe)

Their website's www.scruberry.com

Hope that helps!

you can try http://www.commonscrubs.com

$15 per set. quality is super, doesn't fade... ever!

I purchase mine at nwscrubs.com They are a local store for me, but their website has more selection than in store, and usually the cheapest prices on cherokee scrubs. Hope that helps!

I have used SmartScrubs too for years... they are cotton... and comfortable and well made..you pay a little more.. but worth it...

CommonScrubs.com for me! Can't go wrong with $15 a set in any color (Water blue is my fave!)

i just started using a site www.scrubadoo.com

a pretty good site and was able to get my dickies scrub pants for something like $15-$16.

Piece of advice when it comes to scrubs.... You get what you pay for. You can buy cheap WalMart scrubs, but they're itchy and hot and fade fast, that is, if they don't rip out first. There are several scrub companies that offer cheap scrubs, but since you have to work in them all day, I prefer to go for comfort and quality. That's why I buy from Sassy Scrubs www.sassyscrubs.com

I just put in an order for 3 pairs of Mens Landau cargo pants, and 2 scrub tops (the 1 with zippers in the pockets) with http://www.a1scrubs.com/ Bought enough to get free shipping, plus they took 10% off. Now wait and see how long it takes to get here!
