  1. I've got a bunch of the regular scrub sets (#101) and I also have a couple of the 2 pocket tie scrubs, those pants are flared a little on the bottom but cost a little more ($21.64 w/tax). both style pants are surprisingly good on length, but then again I wear Nike Air Max's or Nike Shox with them! I think you should be fine on length with these. Good luck, hope this helps some.
  2. My friends and I always order from http://www.commonscrubs.com only $15/set never fades, even after soooo many washes (nearing a year) the waistline is amazing, half garter in the back and drawstring in the front they run a little big, so I stick with the XS, I'm 5'3 about 125lb. only $15/set!!! i can't get over that... oh! and they seem to ship super fast.
  3. Hello All! This is a great scrub website that my friends and I order from. The scrubs are super comfortable and don't ever fade even after soooo many washes. Oh! They're super cheap too, only $15 a set!! http://www.commonscrubs.com They seem to ship super fast too.
  4. Congratulations Element06!!!! its such a relief isn't it?! i too received my results in a big envelope but it was light. i'm currently waiting on my actual license now, i just sent in my payment last week so hopefully it should arrive soon.
  5. Hello! I passed my exam and I used strictly Saunders, only because I didn't know much about Kaplan at the time I was studying. Try and get in as many questions as you can. I reviewed content for about 3 weeks and then practiced questions from the Saunders cd-rom for about 6 hours a day for 2 weeks until my exam date. Take breaks once your brain starts turning into mush! Good luck to you!!!
  6. Thank you so much guys! I really appreciate the support on this site. Its so funny because when I opened my envelope (and yes it was thin) i was tachycardic and I couldn't breath!! I skimmed through to only find in bold letters "HAS PASSED" and I almost passed out. Anyway, God knows how rough it was and am very happy and relieved that I can now move on with my life. :bow:Its perfect timing because it'd be so hard to study once the baby is born! The new format is definitely a lot harder than last year's. To those taking their exams soon, make sure to study questions that have select all that apply format. I was slammed with a ton of them, felt like every other question I was given was SATA. Also, make sure to brush up on your medications... study them by classifications, for example: bronchodilators, blood pressure, diabetic (pill form), pain, cardio. It will most likely ask whether or not to take them with or without meals, etc. Also, priority nursing came up a lot, like which patient would you check up on first when doing your rounds. Remember your ABC's, if no patients are with ABC's, then I went with pain. Study, study, study!!! My review instructor told us "you've taken a ton of tests during nursing school, the NCLEX is only one more test" Good luck to all those studying and going to take the exam, and especially to those waiting for the results by mail. :heartbeat
  7. I just found out yesterday that I PASSED!!! I took the test on June 11 and the results were in my mailbox on monday July 21. It took about 6 weeks. Good luck to those still waiting!!!
  8. third Time Is A Charm! I Passed!!! Wooooooohoooooooo!!!!
  9. Congratulations!! God knows you truly deserve to move forward with your new life as a nurse!!
  10. good luck to all of us!! we're so close... yet so far away...
  11. I took my test on June 11, 2008. Today marks 5 weeks exact. I called them Monday last week to check if they had mailed my results already but the lady nonchalantly said they're still checking June 3rd tests. So I called again on Thursday, got the same lady who said the same exact thing!! Geez, they're real behind. I've already told myself that whenever I finally do get my results and they're not what I hoped for (which is to pass) that I have no more energy to get sad or mad because waiting these 5 weeks has been emotional roller coaster ride already.
  12. you can try http://www.commonscrubs.com $15 per set. quality is super, doesn't fade... ever!
  13. http://www.commonscrubs.com these are very soft scrubs and extremely cheap! another great thing about them is they don't fade after so many washes. they're amazing!
  14. I graduated the VN program back in October 2006. I took the NCLEX for the first time in March 2007. -Failed. I took the NCLEX again for the second time in July 2007. -Failed. By this time my hopes of passing have slapped me in the face twice. I decided to take a break because I figured I just wasn't doing something right. Maybe studying out of the wrong book? Or maybe I suffer from test anxiety? I don't know... Anyway, I let some time pass. I landed a new job which is way better than my previous, moved into an apartment with my boyfriend, and also 7 months pregnant!! OH WOW!! So this NCLEX has been boggling my mind for quite some time now. My friend even joked that if I were to take my NCLEX this time around I'd "have 2 brains instead of 1!" So my life pretty much defines that I NEED TO PASS THIS TEST. So.... I took the NCLEX again for the third time on June 11, 2008. -Pending. I called the BVNPT on monday and the lady nonchalantly replied that they are still overlooking the tests taken on June 3rd so they haven't gotten to mine yet. Today marks 4 weeks for me and I am slowly beginning to think the worst. I do remember some items on the test: tons of SATA, tons of MEDS, tons of priority nursing. My test stopped somewhere in the early 100's... I was too focused on the questions and answering the best I can that I didn't get a chance to check what number I was on. I took a review course at an adult school and the instructor advised that we use the latest edition of Saunders which is what I used to study day in and day out. Anyway, the lady told me it'd probably be another 2 weeks before I get my results. And so, the waiting continues...
